Darklord Day 2017

Was just gonna post that, I'm kind of hoping to land a ChemTrail Mix. If I land a handjee or FVM i'll probably be trying to swap it out for something new and different.

This is what bothered me. I'm group A and I'm completely all good with the process. It's not the process that bothers me it's the lack of foresight and multiple last minute changes by FFF.

I found it to be both rich and entertaining.

I agree. Ronaldo was amazing last year. Everyone at our vanilla DL share was surprised at how good it was.

 

I'm glad that the people who would readily turn the entire day into a giant line lost this year. Have fun waking up at 6am!

We will be in line at 6am. That is when my group has always shown up. That is when all the best sharing happens in my opinion! People opening bigger bottles while they can still remember what stuff tastes like! Usually I share everything I have, save maybe a bottle for the possible allotment line, prior to even getting in the gates and then hit the taps all day.

 

If I had already tried Handjee, ChemTrail would be at the top of my list no doubt!

 

Since we're talking variants, my level of excitement for all of them...

1) Handjee- 10. I love vanilla stouts and I've never had it.
2) Bourbon- 9, maybe 9.5. Never had it, seems safe.
3) FVM- 8.75. Knock off a point for the moscat barrel instead of armagnac, another quarter because I had it last year.
4) Ronaldo- 7.5. I like cherry a lot, but I definitely worry that it will be too sweet.
5) Muerte- 5. I like spicy stuff, but I don't necessarily like spice in my stouts.
6) ChemTrailMix- 4. I don't really know how to feel about this. Most cinnamon stouts I've had seem to have too much for my taste, and the peppercorn seems weird.
7) Dia Oscuro. 3. Not a scotch fan. My main hope if I end up with this is that the smoke/peat/barrel isn't that strong.
8) Vintage- -2. I really don't care about vintages. That would make 8 bottles of regular in my cellar, I don't really need/want that many.

Open for trades after if someone has different opinions!

 

I wake up at 5 daily. 6 is sleeping in.

I think everyone should just have a good time and be happy they got tickets in the first place. Plenty of people got shut out

 

I'm curious how Ronaldo will be this year with that new muscat barrel treatment. Unless those cherries are plenty tart, i'm worried the beer could get lost in the barrel sweetness. I wrote a small piece up on how I think the variants will play out. Anyone's guess how it turns out though.

I may get blasted for this, but if you get a handjee and post it on the trading forum, you could probably get Muerte+Ronaldo, if not more. Not saying it's right or wrong, just saying...
