I've had Skull Ole twice.. first time on tap at the pub. Most sour beer I've ever had. I've had Pear Bear and plenty of Upland. Second time was last year at DLD and I was too drunk to remember

 

Molten Mirrors is a good 3 Floyd's sour and still sitting on shelves.

Have there been any posts showing the new labels? I remember last year seeing the labels about a week or so before the event.

 

lol I checked Accuweather a couple hours ago and it it showed 62 degrees and 10% chance of rain. Someone must have reminded them DLD was moved.

That does not sound good at all. I liked Pear Bear but could not finish a bomber myself. It had the flavor and pucker factor of a liquified bag of Sour Patch Kids.

I'll have to grab a bottle. I seent it but haven't pulled the trigger.

 

I think he meant the variant labels because he mentioned last year and the regular DL labels didn't change last year. @Egotist ?

 

I fucking loved Skull Ole. Still have a bottle of it in my cellar. If anyone has any they want to trade, definitely hit me up!

 

Best guest tap I had last year was Cigar City Outskirts. Huna kicked right before I got up there and they replaced it with something that ended up being even better. There was a weird guy in line saying I got screwed and that anything but Huna was crap...just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's not awesome (I wish people would remember that when I offer them pours in the bottle share).

Yeah, I should've been more clear. I was asking about the variants. The new regular label looks good though.

 

Why would you guys use the Weather Channel when DLD has a dedicated news station with accurate weather and a DLD helicopter?

I just noticed this fine print on the DLD page a few minutes ago...

• Beer brought in must fit in your backpack and may not exceed 288 oz., which is the equivalent of one case of beer. No flip-top jugs, growlers, or small kegs will be allowed.

 

Feel like this has always been the case. Especially last year.

 

I seent the news headline and thought it was yesterday's news. My bad @Kejbeer .

 

I thought so but earlier in the thread the consensus was that growlers were ok...if empty. I've always noticed empty growlers in the grass outside the fest where the lines to get in are.
