Hmm. Looks like there's going to be FFF draft tents by the stage. That means if you want to keep an eye out for Variants, you're gonna have to mosey over by the music on the reg.

 

Makes sense, but otherwise odd place for a beer booth. Likely just to spread people out more.

I've attended Dark Lord Day the past 5 years and gotten exactly zero drafts. No big deal for me.

 

On the map, what is the symbol in the middle (next to the beer tent)? Looks like barley grass?

And how about the red truck in the top-right, next to the two food trucks?

Dumb question, but FOF is the guest taps?

 

I think it's their equivalent of a VIP area for investors, bands, and pals. AKA Nick's Tree house. I think.

 

Friends of Floyds. It's investors and guests of FFF. Guest taps are the green beer tents along the same axis line as FOF.

 

How much does one have to invest to get invited in?

 

I don't think investments are open, you had to invest way back before the brewpub opened in 2006.

 

So maybe I'm thinking about this all wrong, but at 6am we're allowed into that little area and then waiting until 9am to get into the main festival gates. What's the point of opening up that tiny area? That could turn into a giant cluster when trying to create a separate group A line.

 

I am assuming the bag & ticket check will be at the 6am entrance, that means at 9am they can just let the flood gates open and everyone can go in with zero delay. Maybe the Group A line gets filtered in first, then everyone else.

 

It was investors for the brewpu from over 10 years ago.

Also, it's better to be a ticket holder. As a FOF you get 2 bottles of regular Dark Lord, no variant or vintage.

How does one know from the map which taps are guest taps and FFF taps?

 

One does not know. This will be a secret until everyone enters DLD.

 

The guest taps are typically at the beer station just north of the big Tent in the middle. But don't expect FFF to keep things the same.
