Turns out I won't be making this...the plans I thought I had for Sunday are instead on that Saturday, huge bummer. I was really looking forward to meeting some local BA's. Oh well. Hopefully when and if there is another one I can make that. I have also removed myself from the spreadsheet. Hope it's a blast guys!

Glasses shouldn't be an issue. Coordinating that certain beers are opened around the same time might require some effort. This was done organically last time.

I didn't miss a single beer I wanted to try. I was pouring myself very small pours for most beers. There for about 5 hours and stayed close to sober so I could go home and play with my kids.

What's the etiquette on pour sizes anyway? Obviously a lot of people are gonna want to try the big boys but too many pours off a single bottle turns into sips, not pours. Went to a free tasting the other night in a shop and the guy was pouring 1oz pours, felt like I barely got a mouthful.

Given how many people are going, lets face it, we're all not gonna get to try everything. Last time out, we all jut tried to share accordingly. Some beers got hovered over and devoured within seconds and others sta around for hours (MoaS and a growler of KBS!!!). But really it's just beer so I hope everyone has a good time regardless.

I know in the last thread there was a few VT people maybe coming down, if so, if they would be ever so kind as to bring down some HT, me and my +1 would gladly compensate you.

You know I'm gonna be bitterly disappointed when I meet you and you're not the real Guisseppe Franco.

Just to be clear I am neither a Tobelerone bar nor a pepperoni pizza-eating cat.

Now THIS is disappointing haha. I agree with Nick, you probably won't get to try everything but it won't matter. You'll be drinking a great beer regardless and hanging with good people. Can't wait for Saturday guys!

let's not forget my 10 minute session standing alone by the oak and bourbon barrel aged lawson's fayston maple imperial stout having re-pour after re-pour while others clamored for, uh, whatever y'all were drinking that wasn't the fayston horizontal.

This cat is crazy, she wants to eat almost everything. I had to drag her away from a tulip full of Big Bad Baptist.

That would be the 2 vintages of Dark Lord, KBS, Abyss, Victory at Sea, and Baller Stout that were 10 feet away. Good times!

Yeah, I was thinking about going and hoping I would get to try this or that, but given how many people are going and the possibility that whatever I'm looking forward to might not show up or might run out before I get to try it, it doesn't seem worthwhile to go way out of my way and get my hopes up. I hope it's a great tasting for everyone though!

Wait, are you saying there are going to be way too many great beers there, and so you might not get to try any great beers?

Hmmm, you got me thinking. We are planning on going out to our favorite Chinese buffet for supper tonight, they have a stupid amount of great foods, but now I'm a little afraid we might not get to taste any great foods. Maybe we should stay home and have hamburgers instead.

lol as though I'm drinking piss at home. I like hamburgers. I don't like buffets, particularly not chinese buffets.

There are only a few things I'm particularly wanting to try and there's a decent chance I won't get to try them and it's quite far for me to travel and it's during my only two days at home over 5 months...

Haha, apologies, it just hit me in a strangely incongruous way. Sorry I won't be meeting you.

And full disclosure, I not only like hamburgers, I make a mean hamburger smoked with Beech and Hickory:slight_smile:

What are the hours for this again? Starting at noon going until....? I probably won't be able to get over there before 3 or 4pm, just want to make sure folks will still be tasting.

Last time the majority of people left around 5 I believe, though we started at 1 I think.

However, there were at least 5 people who stayed well past 5 last time, and there will be a lot more people at this tasting. Think you'll be fine.
