Well I am happy for you but as a person who has many bottles of previous years and am going to the fest to not only enjoy beer but also to get the new ones (and paying for it) I expect to not get saddled with old stock. You say just to enjoy the fest... I have and do enjoy DLD but I am paying for beer and I expect new stuff not old stuff. I'm sure more people agree with that than the people who are "just" fine with it and "want to enjoy the fest". I don't think many people just go to DLD for a whalze bro.

That's just good customer service, plain and simple. Other businesses should take note...

Fellow Hampton Inn Munster attendees: I remember taking a shuttle to and from this hotel last year but I don't remember completely how it worked. I think I just showed up...no advance reservation necessary. Does someone remember the particulars?

I was told this year by the Hampton staff that there is a guy who runs a shuttle...Hampton will give you the phone number for the guy and it's all run through him. When I check-in on friday I intend to ask about that for sure.

I see 66 and 20% chance on Weather Underground right now. Probably more importantly even when the forecast has been changing the total rain accumulation measurement prediction has been near 0".

I think I'd be ok with the randomization of variants as long as they got rid of the vintage bottles. But I'm mostly ok with it. Takes some of the worry out of the whole deal.

Only other change I don't like is getting rid of the vouchers altogether.. I think they should've required us to have vouchers or beer/food/etc to keep the lines shorter and have a tent or something where you could go buy the vouchers first (that line would be long, but then you'd be done). No included vouchers in ticket price though, I understand how some folks didn't like being forced into that.

So with only 1 line be to get into the festival this year, how long do u think I'll be in line if I get there at 10 am? Last year, I think it took like 45 min to an hour once they opened the gates and I was in the south line. Upon re-entry at around 12:30 it took me like 1.5 hours to get back in at the north side.

With one line for entry now, this is going to be one huge ass line IMHO.

I will kill for video of the reaction of the guy who is #1 in line of A looking into his bag and realizing he got vintages...

He might be the one killing once he realizes the next person gets a Handjee.

Yes, we are all too stupid to handle something that easy. Especially after 10+ hours drinking.

Are 5 groups needed like back in the day when there were cash transactions, scratch offs, and previous groups slowing down the line? Probably not. But, unlike ticketing sites, FFF understands the importance of load balancers...

So it took you an hour and a half to get back in? My understanding was that once you are in you can. Leave and come back and skip the line... My plans for the day kinda depend on that as I plan on stocking the car with beer and only keeping a few with me at a time.

I don't think I'll want to look in my tote.... Or I'd at least like to look into it alone away from people celebrating what they received. It'll be a Schrodinger's cat type situation.... As long as I don't look there will be the possibility that I've gotten a Handjee.

I had Group B last year and while it took about an hour to get in that morning via the south gate, once I got my allotment, I put it in my car and came right back in. Virtually no wait via the south gate.

I won't analyze the bottles, but I am definitely checking for 5 lime green wax immediately.

You can re-enter through the exit gate without waiting in line again. I think in the past people have gotten back into the long entrance line either because they didn't realize they could skip it, or they spoke to a worker who had no idea what they were talking about.

Just walk right up to where you came out and show your wristband and handstamp and you will be let back in.

How drunk are you to be unsure whether you've gotten a Handjee?

But if you are trying to re-enter with more bottles in your backpack, I think they'll want to inspect again? I think I recall someone saying that on page 84....
