The above totals out to 380 cases.

What is the typical total yield for a Wednesday can release?

    Cheers!

For someone who has never been to a can release, is that good shocked or bad shocked?

It seems like a full single batch of cans (what is to be sold) is around 240-250 cases for each unique beer. So, for a 3 beer release, 380 cases total is on the low side.

Good for us, probably not good for tired hands since they want to move it sooner than later.

You should be fine on church, and unless everyone stocks up on hop hands, youve got a good shot at getting that too.

I've seen yields as high as 600 total cases for all beers, but lately they've been lower (I assume due to the weekend releases).

    ^there hasn't been a weekend release in a bit...

Also, i imagine.. as TH noted.. they sent cans to CBC, as such they have a lower amount this time around

I may make a late evening run, which I've never done. If anyone there near 11pm can give me a heads up on bar status it would be appreciated.

Hey just wanted to say big thanks to those who convinced me to go - I missed HH by a person or two, but snagged AC and a 4 of the Helles (what's BAs opinion? I thought Trendler Pils was good but forgettable as far as Pils go) and am enjoying food right now. Obviously AC and the Helles are still available behind the bar with no sign of slowing.

Bummer on the hop hands man, I figured you'd be ok for them. Must have been double dippers! Glad you got your hands on the others though. Cheers!

Enjoy the AC, it's their best non milkshake beer IMO. Fabulous.

Did the lager actually sell out? They only mention Alien Church behind the bar on Instagram.

Generally that would be surprising but considering "60 cases" maybe that did indeed happen?

@kthoag I enjoy drinking the Tired Hands Helles (draft) but from a packaged beer perspective my purchasing goes to Sly Fox for a 6-pack of their Helles beer.

    Cheers!

Right now I'm not sure there are a lot of breweries with the Hype that TH has, probably the New England Spots like Trillium, Tree House, Alchemist, Maine Beer Co. - Jean takes advantage of that market which is smart, but everything from the can art, to the contents of the can play a mental roll into what you are buying - a handful of years ago nobody wanted their beer in cans, now its the most popular vessel available...nobody cared about the can, now people save them to display...its another world today. Its cool, but its expensive

An argument can be made for Monkish, who originally had no desire to enter the IPA hype game + they seem to take little bits and pieces from every NE brewery/hyped up brewery and apply it to their own process (e.g. glassware)

Jean created a new, more gimmicky, market: Milkshake, which originated from some vulgarity on Jason’s behalf. Aside from that, brews like PUNGE, Extra Extra Knuckle…pre-can/hype stood their own ground against “Trillium, Tree House, Alchemist, Maine Beer Co”

These beers were first brewed in collaboration with Omnipollo Brewing (a Swedish Brewery):

“If there’s a Thomas Edison when it comes to this new style, it would be Jean Broillet IV, owner and brewmaster at Tired Hands Brewing Company. In March of 2015, Broillet teamed with the inventive Swedish brewery Omnipollo to produce something they called Milkshake IPA. (Omnipollo had produced a “Smoothie” IPA the previous year.) The seven percent ABV beer was brewed with oats and lactose sugar to create an initial heft. Then, wheat flour and 50 pounds of pectin-rich green apple puree were added. (Pectin causes an intense, almost gel-like thickening within beer—an effect most brewers try to avoid lest they accidentally make a can of jam.)”
