Chicagoland NE IPAs (2018)

I'm currently in Seattle and I've had about 6 or so hazy IPAs from this area over the past 24 hours. They seem to be plentiful here, but they don't live up to the quality we're seeing currently in Chi. We have lots to be thankful for.

 

Good to know. Ill be in Seattle next week all week for vacation and plan on hitting up a bunch of breweries. And although, Ill try the NE haze style, Im really going to be looking forward to the best of the NW pine-resin styles.

More good news. Noon whistle releases 16 cans on 5/25. Gummy appocolapse

 

What an amazingly insane next few weeks its going to be.....lets recap:

-Thursday 5/11- Mic check 1, 2 release tomorrow along with hubbards cave new release, and Noon whistle mango IPA tapping
-5/12, Forbidden root 4 pm tapping of their IPA collab with three flloyds
-Saturday 5/13- One of the best days of the year in terms of local beer events (outside of FOBAB)......DLD and Pale Pauper, the latter of which I will be attending. Very excited and the weather as of now is supposed to be 62 and sunny. Fingers crossed.

Then starting next week for craft beer week their is additional releases happening at noon whistle, Mikerphone, hubbards cave, etc along with a local NE IPA tap takeover at forbidden root on may 25th.

Sure I missed a bunch of stuff within craft beer week so feel free to fill me in. However, it sure is kicking off nice the next few days leading into the start of CBW next Thursday. Cheers everyone!

Mikerphone Check 1,2 = my currently highest rated Chicago NEIPA. Can anyone refute with a better option?

 

Juicy & a bit hazy? Sounds like a perfect gateway to sours for the NE IPA fan imo. NE style Sours? It's got potential.
