I broke my phone in back to back years at DLD, one time as I was heading back to my lift....tack on another $100 to an otherwise expensive day....

 

Anyone know if you can park your car at the West Lakes park?

 

Not sure about that one. I can't see a name for it in the maps, but Calumet is the main drag through Munster that gets you to FFF. Instead of turning right on Superior like you would to get to the brewpub, turn left. We always pay like $15 - 20 to park there and leave a car there over night. This makes for a great pickup drop off point. There is never a problem getting a shuttle or cab back to the hotel.

Not sure exactly what you're referring to in terms of turning left on Superior, but if you're suggesting parking at the park in the park to the east side of Calumet I can say that things have changed significantly there since last year- that whole area is under massive redevelopment, with a new road in place, and a hotel under construction.

With that, I don't know for certain how much parking will be available in Centennial Park. Also, the hospital (on the north side of Superior and west of Calumet) is not going to allow for parking in and around there, and I'm guessing it will be a quick tow if you park near there.

Maybe park somewhere in the office parks to the north of 45th and walk down from there might be an option? If I'm trying to park for DLD, I'd allow for extra time, because I think it will be extremely limited the closer you are to the fest.

 

I am planning on scoping it out friday and making some phone calls.

 

It's DLD Prep! Gotta be solo.
