Has double sunshine been on tap anywhere of late? Know they released it earlier in May. I'm going to be up in Stowe for a few days in the middle of next week.

 

Are the Super Session 12 packs new? Saw them today, and only ever saw 6 packs before.

 

I think new to Mass. But not new in general.

Question for everyone. I went into the walk in at the liquor store down the street from me today and was surprised to find 3+ cases of Sip of Sunshine. I picked a 4 pack up and an employee told me I couldn't buy, had to be on the list. The surprising thing to me is that the cans were labeled 5/24. Not sure how long after canning Lawson's tends to hit shelves... but I tend to think they've had that stock for a few weeks now. I assume a bunch of people asked about it when it first came out in MA and have since gotten it elsewhere. I think they're going to waste that beer. Am I wrong?

 

That's crazy & I'd find a new liquor store. Sip is coming in small quantities but not so small that you should need a secret handshake to buy it. I've never liked stores that play games with their stock. If you have it, put it on shelves with a reasonable limit and let folks buy it.

The Sip cans I've seen have been ~10 days post-canning when they show up on shelves in MA, which is totally reasonable. 5/24 cans are probably still fine, but in my experience Sip drops off faster than most NE IPAs.

 

Thanks for the responses... this place is has a large and pretty decent selection as the store is huge, but it's sort of out of the way in my town where most people just want to buy nips to drink while driving. I sent them an email and if I don't hear back I'll likely let Lawson's know. It isn't even about me taking offense to not being able to buy... I've had SoS enough times... it's just that wasting that beer is stupid and if they start taking hits on beers like that they'll likely stop getting them.
