What do you do for a living, BAs?

    Good point! I'm an Asst. Professor of English in South Korea. My research interests are sociolinguistics and SLA(Second language acquisition).

    I love sociolinguistics and SLA. I am a language teacher here in MTL (Spanish and English) and did my Master's in Applied Linguistics. Most of my research focus has been semantics, but I have a hard time choosing any one interesting point for me. Language in general is just so immensely fascinating it can keep me up at night.

    Nice job! Very important. Sorry I have to a get a little political about this one. HA! I believe #Donald Drumpf Jr. is contemplating a run for office in NYC. I've read something about a run for governor, but maybe a mayoral run? Let's hope none of the above.

    That's a good question. I enjoy my job as an Asst. Professor in South Korea about 70% of the time. The other 30% is usually just enduring the daily aches and pains from living in a foreign culture that is vastly different, yet somewhat shares similarities to US pop/corporate culture.
    Overall I enjoy my career because I have 6 weeks in the summer and 5 weeks in the winter off from work! (Did I mention it's paid time off :wink:). I can go on fun trips around the world or go home and enjoy some lovely craft beer with y'all! Cheers

    Currently in college working on my associates in Mortuary Science, (planning to further that with a bachelor's).

    I work as an apprentice to the embalmer at a funeral home, so I help prepare and embalm the deceased, help with setting up funerals, and picking up decedents from their respective homes or the medical examiners office. Always something to do.

    Plus, I'm going to be working at Whole Foods for some extra dollars.

    I just saw this, but what a brilliant Q! I have many claims to fame, but I am both a retired U.S. Navy enlisted logistics specialist and a retired high school English teacher. Beyond that, I am a beer writer currently in/on hiatus; a pseudo-monk with The Order of Disorder and a taxi dispatcher for Yellow Taxi.
