Incredible fest this year! The staging area worked perfectly, almost non existent food and tap lines, insane shares, and the bands killed. My group of 8 walked with 6 x FVM, 1 x Handjee, and 1 x chemtrailmix. I will absolutely be back next year!

At least the group i was with, we all really liked 2017 dark lord much more than 2016.

Great day scored a chemtrailmix which I am thrilled. Brother in law got scotch which some guy traded his FVM for. Other 2 in our group got 14 & 16 vintage. Overall great day

Me and my buddy both in group B. Both got Chemtrail Mix. Just happy to get a variant.

Can't say enough about the generosity of all the BAers out there.

Great meeting up with @Sabtos thanks for the share!

Not a complaint, but it seems a lot of people and their +1 got the same variant. It would seem to encourage some swapping. I have to contemplate which variants I might trade one of my french vanillas for.

I may have been the one with the Haze... but then again, I don't remember everything. We were on our way out. Either way, cheers!

Sadly my backpack with all my beers was stolen this year. Anyone have any thoughts on things I could do? Renters insurance doesn't come close to the deductible and credit card purchase protection doesn't cover perishables. Lost all my DL and a FVM and Chemtrax.

To the person that stole my bag, the dark lord has a special place in hell waiting for you.

Outside of that great event this year.

I got Muerte as well. Happy to just not have got vintages. Thanks for the pour of Juice Machine brother.

Great time this year, weather WAS PERFECT, I think I drank more mead than beer tbh :grinning:

Also found Ronaldo on tap, straight diabeetus. Reg DL 2017 is the best I've had fresh no joke. Also ticked Zombie v Unicorn on tap. Extremely good.

Damn dude. That's really shitty. Not that it matters, but how did it happen if you don't mind me asking? Seems like someone gets their stuff stolen every year.

Group of 8, came out with x3 Chemtrails, x2 French Vanillas, x1 Bourbon, x1 Dia Oscuro and x1 unlucky soul who got vintage. Tried Chemtrailmix on draft and I agree with everyone saying its excellent, glad it was the variant I went home with.

Just got home, and man, what a great time. Perfect weather, awesome sharing and the bands were amazing. Goatwhore and Amon Amarth absolutely ruled - too bad so many of you guys don't care for metal, I had a total blast and definitely got my money's worth. It definitely helped that early afternoon, we left the fest to go back to the hotel to eat, drop off big backpacks & allotments and ended up taking an hour-long nap. We came back rejuvenated and feeling great! Best decision of the day.

I did see a bunch of Dragon Abortion shirts, but always a bit too far away to say hi.

As for variants, I got a Chemtrailmix and my +1 got FVM... I was a bit bummed at first but then everyone said it was excellent (I missed it on draft). Sadly my +1 is a college buddy who lives out of town, but enough folks in my local group got FVM that I imagine I'll get a chance to try it at some point. I do think FFF needs to be more on the ball about having enough variants for everyone, but that is literally my only complaint. 10/10 event, already stoked for next year! Cheers and I'll see you there!

Well well well, that is a weird and surreal festival! I tried to find people but I failed badddddly.

Most interesting aspect of the festival - you have no idea what is going to hit your mouth next. It's a sucker punch of flavors, left and right.

My biggest lesson learned: don't forget to eat.

Did manage some post event Euchre - won 4/4. Must have been because the spirits had possessed me!

We wound up with a Muerte and a BBA. Definitely kept an eye out for five green tops when the workers were grabbing bags and bringing them to the tables. Didn't seem like it would've been hard to just keep walking down the table toward a different worker had I seen six bottles in a bag. As it was the first worker I passed was toting two bags that definitely had variants so I just grabbed one.

My only complaint on the while fest is the guest drafts were terrible.

I've bee a big defender of last year, but this was bad. I got there at open and left atb5.30. At the guest tap by the tent, yum yum, founders red rye, and 2 kegs of zombie dust were on the entire day. Those kegs simply aren't going to blow. They're not good enough.

I was lucky enough to be at the right place, right time when Derivation went on draft at the guest taps near the stage, so that was cool.

My buddy and I had a great time at DLD. We had a big breakfast before attending, and also brought Italian Subs to eat at lunchtime. The food definitely helped, but we still both ended up getting pretty drunk. I also brought my Camelbak backpack which helped keep me hydrated. We were in Group A and went to different tables to grab our allotments and we both got Chemtrail Mix. From the good reviews I've read about Chemtrail, it sounds like I'm going to enjoy it.

The weather was great, no lines for the porta-potties, no lines for the guest taps (by the band stage) and I was able to try a ton of great beers from all of the generous people sharing bottles all day. I did run in to a guy wearing a DA shirt under the pavilion, but didn't catch his name (more like I don't remember his name).

As long as they get rid of the vintage bottles next year, I'll likely be back.

As usual I didn't spend any time at the guest taps despite saying I'd do more of that this year. Going between shares with two different groups of friends was again more than enough. I got into the FFF tap line before I left and the Chemtrail Mix kicked about ten people ahead of me. I was a bit disappointed but ended up with a pour of Crack the Sky which was delicious.

Nice to meet the two ladies and few guys from here at the "grassy knoll". I don't remember your names but thanks for sharing beers with me. I was the guy with the Xhops Pink bottle, by the way.
