I'd honestly say Chemtrail was every bit as good if not a little better than FVM. I can't speak for Hanjee as I have not had one yet.

I didn't have Chemtrail Mix (missed it while on draft and didn't get that variant) but to me that sounded pretty good right off the bat. Not very surprising to hear that it's exceeding expectations for some.

I love Muerte. Always one of my favorite variants. My wife and I both got FVM. I traded one for a Muerte.

This year was awesome. Got to try 5 different variants after being shut out last year. Muerte, power bottom, earl, Ronald 16, and chemtrail. Chemtrail was my favorite but all of them were really good. Cinnamon in stouts just does it for me. Also got to try manbearpig which was a long time want of mine. Very thankful for that. Love the random variants, except of course hopefully they change it next year to have everyone get one.

Got the dia oscuro as my variant. Pretty bummed until I read some untappd reviews. Can't wait to try it now.

12 in group. 11/12 got variants. I think variants were definitely on pallets. All C folks walked in together and all got Muerte. I traded mine and a buddies for Chemtrail while leaving. Glad I did that but friend wasn't happy when I told him he had a new variant. All group D folks got Ronaldo.

Bummer of the day was I offered a '13 Parabola to a group of guys and one guy didn't see me and accidentally hit it out of my hand and it shattered at least 3/4 full.

Such a great time. Sadly, as my group and I were hanging out around the exit from the allotment area, with our allotments in the circle of us on the ground, a guy walked up and stood in our circle without talking to anyone. I thought it was suspicious, so I kept an eye on him and told my buddy to do the same. He waited 5-10 minutes, standing there not talking, then finally interjected in some conversation for a minute or so, then reached down to pick up my bag and said he had to go. We stopped him immediately and told him to go, and he acted extremely defensive, saying he thought it was his bag and claiming it was an honest mistake. My friend finally got him to leave, but he wouldn't shut up about how we were being stupid to think that he was trying to steal our bag. His friends showed up and talked to him and my friend as well, and his friends acted surprised that he would think it was his bag, since they had all taken their bags out to the car already. You could just tell he was a sleazeball, also. The whole thing made me disgusted, especially when he tried to act offended that we would think that he was doing exactly what he was trying to do.

I really do hope the complainers stay home next year. You seem so unhappy, why would you put yourself through this again?

That being said, FFF can't pull this vintage crap again. Only sell as many tickets as there are variants. My buddy got vintage but didn't care. He had such a good time at random shares meeting all sorts of cool people, that he just shrugged his shoulders and got back to enjoying the day. Yep, a bit disappointed but still loved the experience that is DLD.

Literally the only complaint that anyone should have about this years dark lord day is the chance at vintages. Literally everything else went fantastic!

I got vintages. '14 and '16. My buddy got Militia. I traded someone those two vintages and a '17 for Muerte so all is well but the feeling of getting vintages was a kick to the gnads

What a tough year, poor weather and long lines.

I will say though that Goat ***** really brought it and reassured my 4k mile commitment for next year.

Great meeting and sharing with good folks but I'm bitter as fuck about the vintages. Me and my +1 both got vintages in Group B. Lots of time and money spent to walk away with just some of the most overhyped and overrated stout in existence. We were about 60ish in line and there was a sea of vintage in front and behind us. They really took a dump on a good portion of Group B. They knew they were short on variants and those greedy fucks just kept selling more tickets.

My brother and I both got vintages. Bummer. So it goes.

Also bummed I missed you all at the knoll. After hitting the food line at noon, I ran I to a guy from high school and ended up having great tent shares.

I loved seeing DA shirts in the wild. Thanks to the DA that shared 2014 BCBBW in the merch line.

Handjee has never sold for that high. $400 is a solid price. I've seen $550 the highest on FB groups.

This will probably be deleted, but whenever I see it, it's usually between $500 and $600. A grand is too high. It does seem to trade higher though.
