    From the article:
New Yorkers (and those who cross borders to buy their beer there  ):

Is that true? Haven't lived in NY since the Federal rules changed but I thought NY was one of the first states to change their state labeling laws to allow ABV after the SCOTUS/COORS decision.

I realize humor is subjective and that some of you might like them, but I can't think of a Bud Light commercial I've seen that didn't make me want to throw everybody involved into a wood chipper.

Mislabeling of styles. many new IPAs now are listed as NE Style or Hazy, and they clearly are. Stop lying to yourselves and consumers to make a quick buck on a fad...

I used to have the same problem with my weizen glasses and my Sierra/Dogfish Spiegelau IPA glasses, and then I had kids. It turns out those bottle cleaning brush sponges (we have ones made by Munchkin and Nuby from Target for ~$3) along with some organic foaming bottle and dish soap (my wife's a nut, I know) are perfect for cleaning those hard to reach places in certain beer glasses.

Good call! Used to do the same before I lost my brush during a move. I'll need to get another.

Noooooo! I'm at a local brewery I enjoy and have had a few good beers, however...They use shaker pints, but I can let that slide... then this: I order their pale ale. The beer comes out filled to the BRIM. Total boss pour from a style that especially benefits from aromatics! NOOOO.

Brewery wise: not disclosing bottling dates or alcohol
Bar wise: poor pouring and glassware (not a glassware snob, but for some reason, I get a sick feeling when I'm drinking an IPA with a pint labeled "Bud Light")
Of those who aren't beer nerds: saying they don't like something like Corona because it's not as flavorful as Budweiser
Fellow beer nerd wise: saying a brewing company doesn't know what they are doing as if they can do it better. Saw a review on a beer that pissed me off so much I created an account to get my point across. It was a review of a beer from one of the oldest brewing companies in the world and the guy who wrote the review wrote something along the lines of "you would think after almost 1000 years of brewing they'd be able to brew a better beer". Like... a 1000 years of brewing and you think they don't do it right? It's fine if you don't enjoy it, but to act like they don't know what they are doing while you're sipping a beer at the kitchen table not brewing beer yourself and starting a 1000 year tradition? Get out of here

I don't get it... Can't you just take a swig and then it won't be filled to the brim anymore?

The lack of head is the problem. They left no room for it.

I would've just had a swig, put my hand over the top and shook it a little.

I totally thought you were going to say, "Turns out they like to break glasses so I have nothing to clean anyways."

It is not allowed anywhere, but there is beer for sale all over eBay. Many have descriptions for empty but the pictures are full and they have stupid things like "FULL flavor beer" in the description.

Pretty shady either way and always huge mark up.

Tired Hands usually doesn't list ABV, as far as I can tell. That is just off the top of my head, I have seen others.

    In no particular order:
    • Dirty tap lines
    • Non-craft drinkers referring to my beers as "weird" or "froo-froo" or "fancy" or anything other than just "beer"
    • Beers described as simply "ale" on their label (as in "Ale aged in Whisky barrels")--what KIND of ale???
    • Places that claim to offer craft beer but really only offer Bud and AB-Inbev's "crafty" beers
    • Making people buy 1-2 lame beers for access to a highly-coveted, high-demand beer
    • Places that claim their beer list is up to date and then always seem to be out of the one you want (Rock & Brews in El Segundo is the goddamn worst when it comes to this)
    • Line cutters
    • Having to ask the cheese guy (or anyone really) for beers kept out of site from public view

Non-beer-drinking family and friends that don't understand how craft differs from macro. To them beer is beer and you and I are just being picky beer snobs. I'll ask what's on tap at a restaurant, and usually end up just ordering a diet coke because they don't have real craft, or if they do it's all IPA which I don't like. Because I'm a picky beer snob.

People who try new beers at way too cold of a temperature and insist that they are not good brews. I have seen individuals dismiss some of the best beers on the market because of the assumption that beer needs to be ice cold.

What makes me even more upset are people who insist that those who recommend a warm temperature are crazy. Ignorance is one thing. Refusing to listen to sound, proven information is another.

Just realized yet another pet peeve today after watching some reviews on Unfiltered Sculpin. People holding the glass or the bottle up and going "it doesn't look hazy at all, i thought it was gonna look like a juice bomb". A beer can be unfiltered and still look extremely clear! I know it's not really ignorance on their part, rather just being understandably uninformed.

Watching the bartender pour me the wrong beer and then argue with me about what particular beer it was. Just the latest.
