    Can we confirm it
    -isn't aged in muscatel barrels
    -doesn't contain cardamon

Can you just give me this beer instead of a vintage at DLD?

They know they have 10,000 people in the area coming to the brewery tomorrow. Good time to cash in on a $50 beer.. too steep for my blood.

It's certainly one way to show appreciation to all the people coming to your event from all over the country.

I would pay real money for a civet variant.

And not to mention a nice kick in the nuts to those who end up with 2 vintages tomorrow instead of a variant.

Damn this fake news is outta control! Had me fooled. If it was $30 I probably would have driven down there and learned the hard way. Oh well.

So who all had the MoD so far? I had it and thought it was actually very similar to the regular Dreadnaught--tons and tons of fresh hops, almost giving a bright lime flavor.

I had it on draft at DLD, really enjoyed it, but never have had an ultra fresh Dreadnaught that I know of. Not sure how much of the barrel I got. It's just weird to think of it being aged, because it didn't have any barleywine or prune or caramel elements at all, which was fine by me

It's definitely not normal. I had it at the brewpub right before DLD. I really enjoyed it. Mine had a real sweet barrel punch upfront with a ton of hops and then ended real clean and dry. I thought it was well executed.

    Glad you enjoyed it!

I enjoyed the Barbarossa on draft at DLD. Interesting, unique flavor from the hops, but tastes very FFF.

I've got two questions regarding BA Behemoth
    • Has anyone heard rumblings on how long FFF ages it? I assume the 2017 BA release is from the 2016 batch of Behemoth, but I was curious if anyone has more details. I know the brewery isn't particularly forthcoming with this information (which is fair).

    • Does anyone know when the 'sweet spot' is for the beer? I'm still riding the DLD high and want to crack my 2017 Woodford soon, but should probably wait until the beer is drinking its best. I'm sure the different single barrel variants makes this event more of a crapshoot. Choices are hard.

    Thanks, pals.

Had a '13 BA Behemoth at DLD. Thought it was magical. Barrel was totally subdued. Sweet caramel followed by a classic 3 Floyds hop bite. Not sure if that helps, but it seems like 3-4 years of age does wonders.

I had the '17 BA Behemoth on tap at DLD and it was HOT AF. I love some boozy beers but damn, was it hot. I'd sit on it at least a year, personally.

Yeah, seems like a good idea to sit on it - thanks for the feedback.

Heading to 3F tomorrow on way to Chicago. First ever trip there. Any chance I can get some Zombie Dust? Hoping it's on tap and can snag a couple of cases too.

    Presently, yes: https://www.3floyds.com/beers-to-go/

No idea how likely it is to last (i.e. how much is left or anything else about typical Thursday purchases).
