I've got a big day but I'm starting out with this.



I used to pick this up at gas stations in Ohio when we would travel for my kids to play hockey. Then I discovered Beeradvocate and found out there was a ton of great beer in Ohio that we didn't get in Indiana. Oh well, Yuengling is here now so that's what I'm drinking. Cheers

I messed up royally yesterday by leaving my sun glasses on all day during a catamaran excursion. I now have two days to work off the raccoon eyes. Cheers!

 

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday BA!
I was lucky enough to acquire this beer without having to trade away half my cellar and I'm glad I was able to try this..Toppling Goliath's Barrel Aged Chain Smoker..advertised as a Smoked Porter, the smokiness is at a minimal, but the barrel characteristics and cocoa and vanilla came through nicely...cheers!!

Having reviewed my calendar I concluded I don't actually have to go anywhere or do anything today, so . . .



Hazy lemon yellow color with white cap.

Mild aroma of mostly citrus resting on a light bread base.

Taste is a lemony, mildy tart wheat ale with little malt presence.

Overall it's a decent, well made wheat ale that's too mild mannered to excite much comment.

Afternoon hang in Amsterdam. 3F golden blend and (award for cutest can) Beerbibliotek "Nah...Just had some ice cream."

 

I like that ale.

 

Excellent, on all counts!

 

4.7% alcohol. Brewed in Jamaica by Heineken International.

 

Steelhead extra stout from Mad River. It was a bit too cold when I just poured it. But now it's warming up it gives lots of taste and aroma.
