Chicagoland NE IPAs (2018)

I have my fingers crossed that Stay Lit will stay on tap through tomorrow as tomorrow is my birthday and I basically just want to drink Stay Lit all evening.

It's almost as bad as using a Nirvana label and giving it a Stone Temple Pilots name, maybe worse actually.

 

Man you guys are BRUTAL! Just trying to have some fun with a beer announcement. We will be releasing Reign in Punch our Hawaiian Punch DDH IPA collab with Mikerphone on Thursday after Salute your Simcoe kicks. We'll also be pouring it at BUG. Tons of passion fruit, mango, and dank hop notes from Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado. Come on down and enjoy, cheers.

 

I thought it was supposed to be released next week on the 24th? That's what the CCBW website/app says...unless I'm reading it wrong, which is certainly possible.

 

I love the name Reign in Punch and was just having some cross thread fun regarding a recent Nirvana/STP mixup in the Mikerphone thread. I'm really looking forward to this release, thanks for coming here and posting the info.

 

That's the "official" release date. However, due to wanting it on for BUG we have it ready for Thursday. Tuesday is now a Mikerphone tap takeover and release of our next TBD named DDH IPA. So, we'll have Reign in Punch, (2) 1.6bbls of TBD Mikerphone, and our next DDH IPA on Tuesday, 5/23.

 

We do have a Slayer design. However, I was having major issues uploading to the thread. So, the Kill Em' All logo was used instead. Just as a cool teaser.

 

Please tell me you have someone jump out in a big red costume and scream "Ooooh yeahhhh!' Whenever one of these gets ordered.

NM- I'm confusing Kool Aid with Hawaiin Punch...

 

We do have the Hawaiian Punch guys head on a Slayer sword.

 

As someone who planned on being there on the 24th and is busy on the 18th and 23rd, this is me now... Hopefully it tastes great and you guys make it again!

If you happen to be out towards NW Indiana, Windmill Brewing in Dyer (right by the IN/IL border) just released their "milkshake-style" IPA with mango puree in cans a few days ago called Memes and Dreams. Not as good as those by Tired Hands/Omnipollo if you're familiar with those, but is still really good. They also recently released their NE IPA in cans a week ago called Two if by Citra which is pretty solid. Worth a look if you're out that way.

 

Someone shared this with me at DLD day this year and I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend.
