Except part of that deal is that ABI doesn't actually purchase MillerCoors in the US, having to offload their portion to Molson Coors. The Miller purchase is a large reason why the Justice department is so involved with any purchases ABI makes in the US now.

I see the event is back on for 8/26 now. Let`s see who is on the new list when it`s released. Hopefully there are still a bunch of holdouts

AB sold all the Miller rights to MolsonCoors. We basically now have ABInbevSAB and MolsonCoorsMiller as the two major players. From what I understand, the SAB portion is what AB was after. Miller appears to just be a brand name getting tossed around between these companies with MolsonCoors now being the owner, both USA and International.

Edit: Here is a press release from MolsonCoors.

I know im not the only one that actually read the article about the SA hops, craft brewers were buying from a broker (probably another small business) when job was to sell excess hops to the craft breweries. As he states in the article he believes that the "excess" hops will now sit in cold storage instead of going to a craft brewer to use. Basically "im taking my ball (or hops) and going home"

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I didn't see it: I've heard the Wicked Weed will start distribution in SC. Is there any merit to this news?

They're signed to the respective Bud distributors across the state. Should start arriving on shelves within the next few weeks.

And since they aren't making more shelf space, one has to assume that this will push some smaller brewery's product off the shelf. Part of the ABI plan, the power to dominate shelf space.

They will be buying up tap lines all over the state as well.
