Chemtrail was by far my favorite. I also really enjoyed Zombie Vs Unicorn and VCR.

 

I wasn't scouting the taps like I should have but had: Dark Lord (2016 & 2017), Rue D'Floyd, Dark Lord BBA (2015), Zombie vs. Unicorn, & Crack the Skye. Top 2 were Rue & the BBA. I did not attempt to get the Muerte and 1 other one kicked before I got there (can't remember which). Better acquisitions for me than last year.

 

Fresh out of the monkish I brought the 3 cans I had to dld. I do have some other half and side project though

 

Yeah. I wandered over there a few times, and even the stuff that was available all day was much better than the other tent.

I already asked this on the FFF release thread, but I'll ask here since it's on topic right now. How was BA Behemoth drinking? Should I crack my bottle soon or should I sit on it?

I was hoping to find it on tap to find out for myself. So it goes.

 

I was amazed more people didn't go up to get Get Lit when it went on....

 

Sit on it. It's way too hot at the moment. Give it a year or two.

While I as well have been burned by holding onto BA FFF offerings in the past, I don't think "infection" is the word you want to use here. Yes, many early on did not age nearly as well as expected and definitely took on some off flavors or just turned to shit (Cuvee, Inquisitor, Guppy, etc). But I do not believe many were actually infected (maybe a BA Alpha Klaus or Moloko, but I don't recall).

I just always have a problem with someone throwing out the term infection to describe a bad beer, when it has a specific definition.

 

Yeah and I've never heard of an infected DL, variant or otherwise.

 

I think there were reports of 2013 vanilla being infected.

 

I don't recall the 3 Floyd's Rue D'Floyd a few years back being infected, the one we drank pretty early on tasted fine. But I can tell you for a fact the Floyd D'Rue (The Rum Barrel Aged one) was. The one we opened was straight up sour. I know 3 Floyd's gave refunds out on that one.

 

2013 BVDL..... I believe it's about a 50/50 chance they're infected.... Luckily the one we opened wasn't.

 

I know the difference, and I meant infection. 2015 BA Moloko, 2015 Conquistador de Muerte, and Floyd d'Rue were mainly the ones I am talking about. I got refunds from FFF for those. I had Tiberian Inquisitor, and would never refer to it as infected. It just wasn't great. I also have never had an infected Dark Lord, but when I have been burnt on multiple occasions I don't take the risk.

 

Can confirm.... I had a 2014 Conquistador de Muerte and it was super sour. It wasn't undrinkable and was actually quite tasty, but most definitely infected.

 

All three BA Moloko my buddy and I had were infected...super sour.

 

I did a horrible job with taps. I got a Zombie vs Unicorn (loved it!) and a Mocha Wednesday (v. good, but at 20% I was trying to share it with anyone who would take some). Once I met up with the BA share people, I didn't get another tap myself all day.

 

I was thinking the Moloko or Conquistador may have been, but couldn't recall for sure. And I forgot about the first batch of Rue. Carry on.
