As noted by Draft Magazine, Kettlehouse (Missoula, MT) and Gravity Brewing (Louisville, CO) just released a 40 oz. bottle of Craft Malt Liquor dubbed Corner Store. Only a scant over 400 bottles of this 40-oz. release were made, retailing for $10 a pop and running 9% ABV. I don't have much malt liquor experience, but this one is sweet an' hoppy! ;-) Still a few waxed bottles left at Kettlehouse. When released, they were wrapped in brown paper bags.

Dogfish Head did this years ago. I hope it lives up to the $10 price tag.

I had the DFH one a couple of times from the last release... It honestly was just a sweetish not hoppy beer. Not bad and certainly not the fusel soaked sugarcorn cakes many ML are.

FWIW... Very much ISO the Kettlehouse bottles.

I've had a few craft malt liquors over the years. They don't typically have the fusel alcohol burn you'd expect from something like OE800, so they aren't that bad. If anything, they're sort of like an adjunct maibock.

Got my bottles... Thanks to all the folks that made this happen. Montana people are good people.

    Appreciated... Toby.
