    Anyone have the Hubbard's Cave Amarillo yet? Any feelings about it?

    It's decent, though in my opinion the single-hop IPAs of theirs have not been nearly as good as the "Version X" series which uses hop blends. V5 coming up soon with Citra and Mosaic, definitely excited for that one. I think I've had every Hubbard's Cave IPA so far, and the Amarillo one I'd give a B-, relative to the rest of theirs.

    Normally it wouldn't, but I think he meant because the beer is ALSO being poured both at BUG and next week for the official release, so it was unclear how much was being tapped tonight.

    Wasn't sure because it is a collab and it's also craft beer week, normally their batches are big and last but ya never know.

    Awesome as ill be in town that weekend of the 26th, also secretly hoping Beer Hates Astronauts releases that weekend as well in the awesomeness can format!!

    I may be wrong, but I don't think that BHA will be released until early June. Last two years it was the first week of June.

    June 2nd feels like a lock to me. It was the weekend after CCBW last year. It just feels longer since CCBW is shorter and Galactic was released much earlier this year (they were only a week apart last year)

    Just so people know who haven't had it, Beer Hates Astronauts is not an NEIPA. The draft version last year was unfiltered so it's more along the lines of Stone/Sculpin Unfiltered beers if they do that again. The bottles were regular citra IPA's last year

    I was confused bc you had said the event was now on Tuesday 5/23... To clarify, it is in fact on Wednesday 5/24 as originally announced? Thanks!

    It looks like 5/23 is a collab with Aleman, so maybe that's where the confusion came from:

    In fairness, at the time (last year) the unfiltered BHA was closer to NE style than a lot stuff we had here (since at that point anything relatively opaque was worth getting curious about). The interesting question is whether or not that version will be back this year.

    Second video for Ultra Fresh is up, this one is about the creation of Hop Butcher's can art by Dan Grzeca (in still instance, screenprints of Galaxy Bowl). Pretty dope.
