    Anybody seen Cake anywhere other than Community Tap in Greenville? They got 4 cases and it sold out in about 1 hr.

    Sounds like it is popping up in ATL. I'd guess Athens no later than the end of this week (Friday).

    Curious, has anyone popped a bottle/had on draft yet? Last year's was missing the heat (unless you got a BA variant). Wondering how this year's reg is ....

    Where 16 had virtually no heat...and 15 had substantially more than 16...I'd say 17 falls right in between. Dare I say...the perfect amount of heat...for me at least.

    I know others seek the heat if the past. But imo it's pretty well dialed in this year. (Only had on tap so far, haven't cracked a bottle.)

    Hit the nail on the head for my thoughts on it. Pepper came through more and more as it warmed. If you want nothing but heat, look elsewhere. This one is well balanced and leaps and bounds above last year.

    ^^What was said above...the heat of '17 falls between the last 2 years. Most will enjoy this year's batch. My wife and I opened a '15 bottle recently and it still had that 'throat numbing' heat! The other adjuncts had fallen off a bit, but that heat was still going strong.

    Crafted had 2 cases today 1 per person. I grabbed one I'm sure all sold out now. Greens is releasing theirs tomorrow at 4, 1pp. GBX has a keg with growler fills.

    Normally 2 per person, silent release and normally lasts at the brewery for 1.5 days. It's really good, and trades pretty well...though it is all over the map in value...

    It's alright. Not an IPA. For me, it's in the same vein as Tire Hand's milkshake IPAs without the flower.

    I saw a cryptic tweet from Tower on Buford a couple days ago talking about a special release stout that you needed to ask for behind the counter. I figured it was Cake because they wouldn't even call it by name. Who knows though.
