If you are looking for something new and interesting for a hazy IPA, try Unknown Brewing's Rye Felicia.

It's a rye IPA, open fermented with brett. I am really digging it (I do love me a rye IPA). Just enough brett to make it funky and its juicy as heck. $11 for a 4 pack of pounders. They do some weird shit at Unknown, but they got this one right.

What's the typical shelf life of these hazy IPA? I know some of us are more anal than others but I'm currently taking a month off of drinking and would like to try the Rye Felicia, just keep it in the fridge until next month. If it even sees Triangle distro.

Caveman, did you happen to try the So' Pines BBA German Chocolate Cake Stout? Going to have to try to get over there to check that and Pithy out.

Had a half growler of it from Gate City Growlers. It is a good one if you're in the mood for something with a lot of bourbon barrel flavor. Thick and Boozy. Not as much cinnamon as I would have liked, but a solid blend of vanilla and coconut to go with the chocolate. I would like to do a side by side of this bad boy and Drunken Vigils.

IMO Burial Scyte is the best IPA being brewed right now, hard to find with their rotating canning.

I agree man....its really nice and a nice full beer for only 5.4%...I was gonna ask the CLT beer group on facebook but might as well ask here..does anyone know if a Brett IPA like this will continue to get more funky in the can as it ages or does the brett do its thing and die off before canning...

Just had Body Electric from Wise Man in Winston. Absolutely impressed - fantastic NE double IPA.

The newest batch of Burial Surf Wax was delicious. Scarily reminded me of Daisy Cutter.

Has anyone tried "Not Another" New England IPA from Raleigh Brewing? Just stumbled across it this morning on Twitter.

Tried DDH Pounder and Bring the Boys to the Yard from High Branch this weekend. Both were excellent. Was a little disappointed they ran out of cans of Pounder before I got there. They've been impressing me with all the IPAs I've had from them. I just wish they weren't all the way up in Concord.

Shout out for Burial's recent DIPA release, When We Were Phantoms. My wife and I both agree it's the best IPA/DIPA they have kicked out since the 12/12/2016 batch of the super juicy Gang of Blades. Think they still have some left at the brewery.

I tried Noda Par 4 the other day. I preferred it over Burial Ceremonial (though Citra was the only batch of Ceremonial I have had).

Wilmington Brewing Company just dropped Kitten Biscuit yesterday- its a 0 IBU, citra/mosaic hazy, juice bomb. 7.8% but not boozy at all- certainly on par with what I've had from Heist. Hoping this becomes a regular addition to their lineup and something they'll start canning once the canning line is up and running in June. If anyone is headed to Wilmington this weekend, make sure you stop by

Brett will continue to develop if kept in agreeable temps. If you stick it in the fridge though, it shouldn't change too much.

Came here specifically to ask about recommendations for the Wilmington area since I'll be there this weekend. Did it last through the weekend and do you think it will still be around this coming weekend?

Also, I know nothing about this brewery...do they do growlers/crowlers?

Wilmington's Kitten Biscuit did last through the weekend and should make it to the weekend. The hype for Kitten Biscuit is well deserved. The haze and mouthfeel is on par with Tree House. The flavor is comparable to a DDH Streets from Trillium. WBC's All The Cool Kids Are Doing It is another solid NEIPA offering from them, especially given it's sub 6 ABV. You can get both Crowler and Growler fills.

Also don't miss New Anthem and Flytrap in downtown Wilmington. New Anthem's Neon God IPA is fantastic. Flytrap always has an interesting gose or saison on tap.

If I could only visit one brewery in Wilmington it would be Wilmington Brewing Company, their stouts, goses, and saisons are all world class. They will start canning next month and I am confident they will quickly become a destination brewery.
