Yeah, due to the weather I only tried a few:

Dobis Plus: I like it more than Double Dobis, personally. Maybe even more than the hazy first bottle.

    Sunbreak: Entirely competent saison... but...

Lost Wisdom - Best batch yet. It's tart in a way that the previous two weren't. With this on the board, there's no reason to have Sunbreak, which is pedestrian in comparison.

    Bring on the Taco Hands!

That Lost Wisdom sold out quickly, damn, was hoping to have some more today.

Taco Hands was great, maybe a bit milder with the flavors than last year? Which maybe was milder than the year before? Regardless, it was tasty and was perfect with the tacos being served up.

I didn't love Phosohene, Dobis Plus was again awesome.

I much prefer Dank Statement over Phosphene Being.

Maybe it's just the name and the description of how it's made, but I have zero desire to try Taco Hands lol

Interesting reaction to Phosphene Being. To me it was super fruit forward, and had a piercing vanilla note too. And it was easy drinking.

Beat PtY for the best TIPA I've ever had, and I don't like TIPAs.

Taco Hands was solid/good, although I don't remember what I thought about it last year. I would say Dobis Plus is better, but I growlered Taco for the novelty. Not like you lose either way.

I liked PB, however between the overly expressive yeast and the Citra-Mosaic combo I thought it was pretty dominated by stone fruit. I think Dank Statement is more complex and more interesting to drink, though both are very drinkable for a TIPA. For me it still goes Dank Statement- PTY- Phosphene Being for top TIPAs.

Dobis Plus is awesome and I'm really looking forward to Mo'Denali.

Again... how's the Bourbon Mocha Vastness?

The second batch of Angelica Vastness was extremely disappointing, as I even asked the bartender if he gave me the wrong beer.

The single barrel version of Vastness seemed like the worst barrel they had leftover. Their previous regular batches were so incredible that these recent releases make me nervous. Any thoughts?

Reminds me of a joke I heard last year. It's like InBev got on a rollercoaster and had tons of fun on the ride. When they got off it, they shut it down and decided no one else could ride it but themselves. Complete and utter dick move.

Ok finally had time off to grab mocha Vastness. It's good. Not BCBCS good, but better than KBS. Lots of vanilla and burnt caramel. Very smooth and mellow. Doesn't explode with coffee like imp c&c. My biggest complaint is the body is light for the style. Taste wise it brings us back to the original VoS barrel aged release but I think the body on the first release was heavier and more reminiscient of BCBS than this release.

Just had it the other day and agree, mostly. I loved everything about it accept for the body. It's not that it was necessarily "thin" but the drying finish on the beer pushed that feeling for me. I actually really enjoyed the coffee presence on it, and it reminded me a lot of the coffee complexity on BCBCS.

The first two releases of BB vastness were so amazing that I have high expectations for them now. However, I don't know if we'll get a big batch of that again, as they keep releasing these so-so single barrel versions. Hmmm, I don't know.

I agree...The first release of BB vastness was one of the best barrel aged stouts I've ever had. It was so close to BCBS it was remarkable.

Ok, just tried the BBAMVoS and I came away with a lot of the same things you guys are saying:

    - Mouthfeel is disappointingly thin. I'm not a feel person, but it does kind of detract from expectation for this category.
    - Taste, though, is a lot better than the other BBA aged stuff they've had in the last 6 - 9 months. I sipped on mine for a good 30 minutes, and it was pretty complex.

Anybody know more about Clear and Present Dankness, the Cellarmaker/Modern Times collaboration? According to Modern Times on instagram, they will be selling cans at City Beer Store? Any idea of there will be cans to-go or kegs on tap at the Cellarmaker brewpub?

I know that I knew I'd be out of town when the Bay Area release happened, so I got a case during the modern times brown paper bag Release online. I'll be in San Diego the 7th of June which is literally the second to last day to pick up your allotment lol

From what I've read, a select few Norcal places will get to go cans, but two of them are in San Jose and Milpitas, so the CBS release might be packed. It doesn't get much West Coast bigger than MT and CM...

Yeah, same - I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to get there, but that's always been a favorite of mine, and their social share made it sound like they sure were digging this batch.
