DC/MD/NoVA Beer Updates (2017)

    DC gets distribution from some breweries that don't see shelves in Virginia, so yes, Harry's will have some stuff TW doesn't carry (e.g., Westbrook and SingleCut). It's just a short walk from the Navy Yard metro station, so it's not like you have to invest a lot of time/effort to check it out.

    I usually don't go down that way because I don't take the Metro. The Yard is a little bit of a hike from the metro, but it still sounds like it's worth a trip on a slow day..... :wink:

    Funny/annoying thing about the Veil's beer names: how many different beers is that? 1? 4? How can you possibly know?

    Same reasons why a lot of the high ABV Avery bottles sit around for a long time. Increased production, high price tag, and super high ABV. Still a great beer, but I don't think many people are crushing a 4 pack of it each week.

    Sure. That makes sense. I just remember never seeing it on the shelf because people would eat up all the bottles. I don't know. Maybe that was mostly artificial hype because of traders that would stock up. Avery makes sense to me. Most people I know don't love them.
