I would say you should be good at 9. I'm not sure there is anything crazy at this weekends release that would bring a larger than normal crowd.

 

You SHOULD be ok if you are in line by 9. You'll likely be on Garnet St which runs parallel to Centre St, so the line will be wrapped around 2 corners. One of the guys will come out somewhere ahead of you and say something like "if everyone maxes out we will run out around here." Usually the most hyped beer in the release will run out like 50-75 people after that if I had to guess. Though I'm not even sure what the most popular beer will be for this release.

 

I was told over there that all the Guinness around the world is made at the Guinness Storehouse with steel barrels, everything in Ireland is made at the original location in Dublin which is made in wooden barrels. Soooo good over there.

 

Thanks guys, I think what threw me off is on Instagram dudes were saying you gotta get there by 7 to get a full allotment. They're probably just trolls. Reminds me of TH releases up here when people ask for line updates and people on Instagram say it's sold out or no point in coming when there's plenty. Gotta love the "community" sometimes. Thanks guys!

 

I don't know, I showed up around 815 last weekend and missed out on DDH Crooked Crops. Pretty bummed that lining up almost 2 hours before a brewery opens still doesn't guarantee you beer, especially when you say that limits subject to change... This weekend might be different though.

 

Do the crowds really vary that much based on what's being released?

Seems like the lines are the same or getting worse each week no matter what.

 

I believe DDH Crooked Crops was a half batch, I'd presume that's the reason it sold out so quickly.

 

I understand that, so when they came around in got to about 10 people ahead of me and said "we have enough allotments for you guys" and the line is maybe 20 more people and growing you would think its time to lower limits, no?

 

I'd also be bummed out if I got there at 8:15 and wasn't able to get it, especially in that weather. I was just pointing out to the other poster on the likely reason why it sold out faster.

 

I want one simply to drink my last can of My Peoples Come First (Monkish / OH collab). Alas, I won't be there tomorrow. The line did just get exponentially longer with this sale.

 

Did they really need to post that? I mean there's going to be a line of people regardless. Obviously their business but they like to stoke that fire haha

For some reason my post and others got deleted, don't understand that. But you can't drink that beer in a non OH/Monkish glass? Not to mention people who will clog up line just to resell the glass for a profit?

Of course I can, it's just a poor excuse for me to try and get one.

I won't be there tomorrow so I'll just drink it out of my normal OH Tulip glass.
