Yeah but what about the 'dilla?

the 'dilla is possibly the best one in LA, which is a bold statement. I was there again last night to introduce my girlfriend to the 'dilla. to be honest in recent times it's been harder for me to talk her into going there since she doesn't like menu that much. she used to like the chicken sandwich, but after multiple instances of excessive gristle, and overcooked chicken, it became more difficult to sell her on going to HPB. I personally blame the line cook for making my life difficult

I think the 'dilla will give new life to my HPB visits.

the only suggestion I would change on the dilla - and I don't just say this to ridicule @SDReaper - is to add some guac on the side. it is customary, after all

as an aside, I saw corvette girl there. I bet she would like the 'dilla

 

Has she gotten her own engraved parking spot yet?

 

My 'dilla came with guac on the side.

 

My 'dillas have come with little cups of guac and pico on the side.

 

'Dilla held up to the hype! And yeah, mine came with sides of guac and pico too. Though I didn't get silverware so it was kind of awkward scooping them out with the 'dilla.

Thought Hunk was pretty good but I got a weird taste finishing the second half of the glass. Maybe the line was dirty? Extremely Certified is fantastic though, glad they had it available for growlers.

You are correct. dilla is served the proper way, as god meant it

 

Hunk was a bit alcoholic on the back end. Extremely Certified was extremely good!

I just dumped the whole thing of guac onto mine and spread it like butter.

 

Back from a visit earlier... Timbo is still king of the Pils...

 

Yeah, but how was the quesadilla? This is Quesadilla Advocate, after all.

Seriously though, I am intrigued by the concept of an elote quesadilla.

 

Quesadilla today was even better than the last one I had.



Correct, @3SH33TS Timbo is still the king of the pils.

Hunk was good not great, tropical, but I got a touch too much astringency on the finish.

 

Has anyone tried New Heights yet?
Haven't picked up my bottles yet but was curious to see what people thought.

Had it at Bruery Anniversary, then rejoiced when I saw the sale announcement, then forgot like an idiot, then rejoiced again when they brought it down to Festival of Funk.

 

Growler of Extremely Certified went down really well at a BBQ on saturday. People were pretty blown away
