Not labeled an IPA, but Equinox Son of a Space Ghost is incredibly good. Not sure when it came out, but I am absolutely loving it!

Very similar to the OG flavor wise, but a nice step down in body. Wondering if other people would consider this a session IPA... irregardlessly speaking, it is definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

Ignore the ratings for 4 Noses Hazeus. It's fucking fantastic.

Was fortunate to try Cheat Code on Saturday at the HBM release. What a fantastic beer! It was my favorite of the day, even with all of the great stouts on tap. Had to pick up a few crowlers. Great job, @CerebralBrewing.

Finally got a chance to check out Cerebral's hoppy offerings on Saturday. I thought Rare Trait was a very good IPA, very hoppy; and Cheat Code was even better. IMO Cerebral is really producing some fantastic hazy IPAs right now, easily some of the best in the state. Everyone in our group walked away impressed.

Afternoon! Wanted to give a bit of a hoppy sneak peak at the 4 Noses 3 year Anniversary IPA's coming out this Memorial Day Weekend. We are going to have around 10 releases that day, including a West Coast IIPA coming in a little over 9% loaded with Simcoe, Amarillo and Galaxy in cans/draft and a Single Hop Citra Triple IPA which will be available on draft and in our new crowlers.

Ursula's "Lazy Brewer" was amazing and their follow-ups have been really good, too. Will have to give that one a go since they're in my general area.

I'm drinking Dry Dock's new IPA and I love it. I did get some pretty massive floaters which certainly aren't preferred but the aroma and flavor are awesome to me. I'm a guy who still loves a west coast style IPA (and maybe prefer it a smidge??) and this seems to blend the two styles very well. It could rub some people the wrong way because it doesn't fully commit either way. It's low bitterness, tropical and juicy but not that hazy and more crisp than soft. I seriously love it but it might be hanging out in no mans land for the NE junkies.

I just bought a keg of the dry dock ipa and this is undrinkable. Tons of sediment/yeast in it. The head is even brown and now that it has sat for a couple minutes I have about 1/4" of junk on the bottom of the glass. I had high hopes for them getting back to their old selves but this is bad homebrewer type shit.

Happy to make sure you get a refund for your keg. Just let me know how I can help.

Yeah, that's really bad. That looks like a totally different beer than what I have in the cans. Mine had off white protein chunks that settled at the bottom in like 10 mins. It seems like they are having trouble going from filtered/centrifuged beers to unfiltered. Maybe they are racking it too early because that looks like more than just yeast or maybe you just got the first or last keg of the batch. Either way that's a bummer of a pour.

Cheers to Biking4Beers for offering to make it right!

That's what happens when you pour a DD IPA into a comrade glass.

Thanks. There are a few people on here that have known me for a long time that know that I stand behind what I do. At least I think they know that. :astonished:

Anyway, I don't know if we're having trouble with it per se. I brewed unfiltered IPAs and pale ales and successfully packaged them at Backcountry Brewery many times and those beers got more than a few mentions in the early days of this thread. In fact, Fix Your Heel DIPA outpaced Comrade Superpower and S26 Citra in a certified judging/blind tasting. That's not meant to be any insult to those guys at all. I like them personally, love their beers, and respect them, so that's a source of pride for me.

I was dealing with a different variable this time around in that I was using an additional fining agent that was in use when I came to Dry Dock. It worked well for us in other applications and seemed to work well for us in our test batch. It obviously didn't work well in subsequent batches. We brewed all initial 600 bbls of this beer at essentially the same time, so it was all brewed before we realized we had an issue. I didn't and probably couldn't anticipate that this was going to happen, but regardless, it was my mistake and I completely own it. We've removed that fining agent and appear to have had success with it. I've attached a video (I hope it's attached) of the most recent canning.

I'm happy to make it right for anyone that is upset with the product they got.

As as brewers once in a while that stuff happens. Dry dock is great. Drink Dry dock Melvin Brewing and comrade. Support your local brewery.
