meant to add.. get hop & saison hands at the ferm... it's easier to visit the cafe briefly and get a sense of all the offerings in a shorter amount of time then the ferm.. simply because the menu at one is smaller then the other..

Yeah, I know it's all buggy now, but I liked the old, non-buggy version too. I'd love to see that version in cans.

I think their Saison yeast has always been a mixed culture. Batches just went so quick it never had time to develop how it does now. I remember when it was just the cafe and you could tell when a keg of saisonhands was held back a bit and put on. It would be similar to how it is now but no roundness/oak from the time spent in the foudres.

Complaints about synths and gems aside, I'm really looking forward to the general store opening.

If they jarred whiskey dills and sold them in the store, I'd be soooo happy. Would also be cool if they sold the bologna and some of the other meats and cheeses they serve at the cafe.

going to hit the brew café and ferm up before the mumford & sons concert in Camden Thursday. Only time I was at the ferm we walked in and got a table out of luck, with 5 people around 330/4 on Thursday, do you think we would have to wait long for a table or should I do one of the reservations on the site?

You shouldn't have trouble getting a table at that time, but making a reservation takes like two seconds and will give you peace of mind. I always book in advance just so I know I won't be stuck at the barrels for a prolonged period of time.

    Enjoy!

Unless there is a can release that day, you should be fine.

Except this place doesn't increase brewing capacity. Not sure I understand the business side of the General Store. Couldn't you just fit that cooler behind the hostess stand at the Ferm and give them a cash register? I guess when people are buying 4 packs of Pils for $14 you get to try out new things.

From what has been posted previously the intent is to sell merchandise in addition to beer. Hence the name of General Store?

Would you be interested in buying gems there?

    Cheers!
