Had it at the anniversary also and definitely one of my favorites of the day. I wouldn't classify it as too sweet, certainly not as sweet as some Andalls I've had, and didn't notice any crystals. After tasting it, I was disappointed I didn't win a bottle.

Releases for this week (May 23rd)...
    __________________________________________
    - Bob from Marketing - Whoa! It's been over a year since the last time we saw Bob. Bob from Marketing was the first ever sour IPA we released. With our kettle souring process a bit more refined, we are very pleased to bring back this old friend. Clocking in at 6.9% and hopped intensely with Amarillo and Nelson hops, Bob has a beautiful balance of citrus juice like acidity with the in your face hop aromatics and flavor profile.
(Shooting for approx 90-115 cases. $14.50+tax/4-pack. 4x 4-packs per person.)

    - sitdwn (pronounced Sit down) - is a brand new 6% IPA hopped generously with Galaxy and El Dorado hops. Super soft and bursting with pineapple and tropical notes.
    (Shooting for approx 210-230 cases. $14.50+tax/4-pack. 1x case/6x 4-packs per person.)

    - bhumbl (pronounced Be Humble) is a brand new 8% DIPA hopped 50/50 with Citra and Australian Enigma hops. We love Enigma. It's like a touch more earthy Galaxy. This one is kind of like a cross between whiteferrari and raindropz. If you like either of those DIPAs from us, you will dig this one.
    (Shooting for approx 200-220 cases. $16.50+tax/4-pack. 1x case/6x 4-packs per person.)

    - French Vanilla Hornwoggler is a new variant of our 7% house robust chocolate milk stout Hornswoggler. For this variant, we conditioned Hornswoggler with a proprietary coffee blend, vanilla beans, and a touch of hazelnut. The goal for French Vanilla Horns was to be a harmonious blend of all of the adjuncts. It was not the intent for it to be a coffee, Vanilla, or hazelnut bomb. It turned out awesome! ...Super aromatic. Very complex flavor profile. **MAY CONTAIN NUTS**
(Shooting for approx 190-210 cases. $18+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person.)

We will also be hiding 10x Golden Tokens(seen in front of the can) underneath the 4-pack holders(only on Hornswoggler cans). Find one of these coins and give it to a staff member behind the bar to receive a free Golden Hornswoggler glass. This is the ONLY way to get your hands on this glass. We will never sell this glass. It is only acquired if you are the lucky few to find a Golden Token.

*CASES PACKAGED AND LIMITS SUBJECT TO CHANGE*

Anyone by chance have a spreadsheet of their releases? It is unlikely I want to put myself through the pains of traveling on 4th of July, but considering a trip from Philly as that is one of the rare Tuesdays I will have off. Not sure if the holiday would entice or dismiss the possibility of a can release.

I think that may have been taken down or deleted. I tried to look for it over the weekend but only saw the rules and last year's Summerfest spreadsheet of Guest Taps in Files.

I do not see them being closed for the 4th and since it is a federal holiday it will likely be busy in any case but if you get there by 2pm/3pm you could still be in good shape for can. Depends if they plan a collab or Gose release that day. And don't just dedicate all of your time to Veil even if that is your main reason for coming. Many other breweries in the area worthy of the trip (Triple Crossing, Final Gravity, The Answer, etc)

Yeah, I definitely would plan to spend 1-2 days there, I moreso was juggling the consideration of dealing with maddening travel going home that night for the potential of no take-away releases (from Veil), obviously Answer allows crowlers and what have you.

@oldn00b over/under on all cans lasting through Tuesday evening?

Probably not all. The last Horns release lasted until 7 pm or so. I'd say it's likely the sour IPA and something else is left but everything but Horns will probably be left. It'll also depend on what the allotments are. If they stay as they are everything might go super fast but I suspect they'll change them by tomorrow.

Dont sleep on Triple crossing either. Green dreams was better than 90% of the veil IPAs Ive had.

The people showing up early tomorrow have something to do instead of wait in line. Probably going to see quite a few chairs holding spots while they hussle down to grab a bottle of the Black Heath Meadery collab.

    (from the Black Heath page)
We will be open at 2pm Tuesday to sell Weight of the World.
4 bottle limit per person. 500 bottles total. Thank you!!

Yeah, I am aware of Triple Crossing but unfortunately have not had anything from them yet. Thought of them as I typed Answer, but no coffee has me sluggish and cutting corners. Definitely appreciate the replies either way to make sure I have a well-rounded trip, whenever that trip comes to fruition.

Doubt Bob lasts long also, its the fewest estimated case count, unless limits reduce quite a bit. The two 'regular' IPA's have a decent shot of making it to the next day.

If everything sells Tuesday I'd be shocked, but something will sell out. Even on the low yield side, if they sold everything on Tuesday it would be the biggest release day in terms of cases sold by about 150 cases. Typical 4 can release like this, usually it's between 500 and 550 cases sold (more like 550 lately). (edit: realize you asked over/under, but wasn't sure how to put it that way, sorry!)

The past 3 Horns variants were 1pp (even back to Coconut in November). I wouldn't be surprised if it's gone Tuesday night with post-Oreo hype. Personally, this is the first Horns I'll skip because I just plain don't like hazelnut. It's been so long since they've done a sour ipa, I'm not even gonna guess at how quickly that one moves, but it's high limit on low yield and plenty of people have missed that series. I would expect IPAs to be left at least on Wednesday.

Just had cans of Broz Broz day day and nice relationship last night. These are probably my 4-5th taste of their hops. They don't knock my socks off but pretty damn solid. Nice relationships is easily one of the better DIPA I've had; and especially appreciated the low ABV on BBDD

I really like unique friendshipz which makes me want to try more IPAs w/ el dorado. Looking forward to the IPAs being released tomorrow.

was casual drinks el dorado? if so, might be worth seeking that out and might not take too much considering its a couple of weeks old. it was very, very good.

I got two and have drank one. I liked it but thought unique frienshipz was better. Having said that casual drinks had to follow TCB green dreams which wasnt really fair.

I didn't have this batch of Casual Drinks, and recent Veil batches haven't been as on imho lately (Dirt Nap, White Ferrari, We Ded etc. have all been a notch below previous batches for me). I did a blind side by side with CD b1 and TCB's Ascension (same hops, Ascension also had Simcoe). I had been leaning toward TCB in general at the time and expected Ascension to win but CD surprised me and beat Ascension on every level. Obv everyone likes different things, batches vary, but I do wish more TCB/Veil releases would line up like that so I could do more blind side by sides. I would love to do Battle Creek vs. Step Dad Chaperone, Valhalla vs. Broz Night etc.
