"Nova beer traders" is solid for trading on FB. If you want repetitive terrible jokes about the local Avery rep and weekly bitching about about the consistency problems with Aslin (warranted) then join Nova Beer Friends.

I'm relatively new to Nova Beer Friends and I think it's a great group. I've gotten some great tips and have made some trades through the group. Very friendly group of people.

Sure there is some of that. Great thread yesterday on a possible wort share for homebrewers from Aslin.

It's a ton of idiotic posts and if you post any FT: you will immediately get bombarded with not just them winning the trade, but like you might as well throw in the title of your car along with the beers you listed, and they'll give you one can of Veil and a Hardywood 750 that every TW and Wegmans got a case of.

To be fair I haven't done a non-IP trade in 3yrs, so it may be like that on this site as well but I dunno... I wonder why I even look at that group. Don't put anything "good" (backyard/VR/stuff of that nature) or your computer might meltdown from the amount of notifications.

Not sure what your definition of "downtown" is, but Craft Beer Cellar had both Weird & Gilly (1 4-pack limit) and Billy 18-Watt (1 can limit) as of last night.

Thanks DFH 120 just isn't the same beer it was when it first came out. Not sure if it's the tanks, the hops, the water, or what. But it's slightly different. Given that and the high sticker price, it's turned into a "I'll try it once" type beer. After a few releases, everyone has tried it, so it ends up sitting for a bit.

I will say it's really good on tap. But difficult to drink and then make it home with the high and.

I think it's more the state of the industry than the beer itself. People just aren't that impressed with tons of IBUs and a high ABV anymore. 120 min is an OG beer but compared to what's good right now it just doesn't stack up.

Totally agree with this! This could be said about so many other OG beers too (Hopslam immediately comes to mind).

Thank goodness, though. That whole west coast hop bomb trend was a annoying. I embrace the NE IPA wave wholeheartedly.
