Haven't seen anything about their plans for CCBW wonder if its too close to their anniversary so they won't bother.

 

I was kinda wondering the same thing

 

How are release days at imperial oak? I've been waiting for ba quiet giant and naturally it is the same day as my daughters bday party.

Any possibility of stopping in after the initial rush and getting bottles and going? Or do they sell out in the initial line?

 

They'll sell out on initial line. Last year they had 800+ bottles and they sold out in 22 minutes. Any other of their releases I'd say maybe.

I thought the release was tomorrow, didn't realize its next Saturday. Still have another bday party, but at least it's not my kids lol hoping I can stop by now. This parenting thing.....

So....does io count the line before to determine allocations and is there bottle sharing?

This years event sounds awesome. Especially the BA quiet giant and all the BA offerings. This is a public/first come first serve event and not ticketed correct? Just trying to set expectations of when to arrive. Any tips based on last years event? Thanks all

 

No tickets.

Anything listed at a station other than the "barrel aged bar" should easily last most of the day, if not into the next few days. I would bet you could show up Sunday or Monday and still be able to have at least some of the BA offerings.

Last year:
It was a cool, rainy day, which probably kept the early crowd down. I showed up a little after eleven and the were maybe a few dozen people there. There was some sharing, but it wasn't a major thing. The allotment was different last year - max of two regular and one BA bottle. You needed to be in line before noon to get the BA, it looked like the stragglers that showed up at noon got the last few regular bottles. This year, there are more bottles, and they are all BA.

Unless this place has blown up in a major, major way that I have completely missed, space should not be an issue. Plenty of room. The way their big parties seem to go is that there's a crowd at opening for the bottles, there's a lull in mid-afternoon, and then it gets busier as the night goes on.

My plan is to show up around eleven, and in my mind, that is playing it safe.
