Yeah I like doing side by sides of similar beers. Pretty excited for bhumbl and sitdwn, esp sitdwn as I really like galaxy and el dorado.

I havent tried nectar and knife yet and I am getting galaxy so mosaic so excited to try them.

Hi everyone! I'm headed down to see my folks in Wilmington, NC and I would like to stop in to Veil on my way down. Do I have a shot at some cans on Friday at opening? Do they do growlers ? fill to order crowlers? And how much of a line should I expect if'n I roll thru at 4pm ? Any info would be helpful. TY.

The Kendrick Lamar IPAs might make it until friday but you'd def have to be there at opening. I can't imagine more thant 3-5 people will be in line right at 4 pm should be a walk in walk out kind of thing if you want it to be. Pro Tip: have a few half pours from the draft list.

No growlers ever.......No Crowlers on demand. Those will only be available if they happen to surprise announce a release. Keep an eye on their fb page (or here) with updates of what's left going into Friday. Might be a very small number of 1-2 of this week's release left.

Outside of Veil, I would recommend swinging by The Answer for some Crowlers of their IPAs. Word is their Joose Andalls were wiped out last night but if any of those are available highly recommend them too. Triple Crossing is releasing Double Dry-Hopped Clevar Girl Friday beginning at Noon at their Fulton location. Final Gravity would also be a good spot to grab growlers. Solid beers at each and they all open up early in the day on Fri. Best spots for IPAs in RVA.

I need to go backread to check, but I'm pretty sure that is their biggest release in terms of cases sold. Edit: Correct me if I'm wrong, but looks like this beat the previous can sale record of 589.5 cases (Amun release) by about 80 cases.

There will be nothing left of this release on Friday with these numbers.

Side note, Triple Crossing is dropping cans on Friday though, DDH Clever Girl. There should be zero line and you should be good at 4PM. Head over to their thread for more info.

Usually only minimal lines at open, you won't wait if that's your question. Almost a certainty everything left will sell out today.

I did not check but when I saw that number the first thing I thought was I did not think they had ever eclipsed the 600 case mark on a release day before. Now just imagine if it would have been a sunny Tuesday....

For real. Or if they left it at 3pp on Horns, easily another 25 cases gone there to have broken 700.

The mead collab at Black Heath also sold out of their 500 bottles yesterday. That is awesome news! I have never been or even tried mead but that goes to show the power of Veil. Heard and read so many great things about it and how a lot of people who would have never thought to visit were amazed by the product, the tasting room and the meader/brewer (whatever the term is), Bill.

I rolled up around 515-530 and was a bit surprised to see the line still almost the length of the parking lot; especially given how shit the weather was. Is that typical these days or Horns hype?

It's getting to be more typical post Horneos for even "non hyped" releases. You can still get some not hyped releases with no lines (in the past couple months even - last time they did We Ded was post Horneos and I rolled up at 4:30, sat at the bar and ordered cans there. There was no line for Dirt Nap/IdonteverEVER either - that one shocked me). But the line is longer with increasing frequency and they're selling more and more. It was a given for collabs, and then the goses, now for Horns releases as well apparently. The Never Never Sufficient Sufficient release is going to break the block.

Bright side - they've been doing an unbelievably good job with managing the limits.
