And they just posted another upcoming release. Super stoked for this since Battle Creek is, for me, the best VA IPA I have had.

Red v. Blue Day: Battle Creek DIPA and Valhalla DIPA Can Release
    Date: Fri., June 9th Noon - 10pm
It's Citra v. Mosaic in our first Red v. Blue Day at Triple Crossing - Fulton. Two of our hopped up Lockout Series DIPAs go head to head: the 100% Mosaic-hopped Battle Creek battles it out with the 100% Citra-hopped Valhalla. Pick your side! Cans and draft available beginning at 12pm.

This Battle Creek/valhalla release is gonna be the test of the hype, lines, need for low limits. I liked battle creek a lot, definitely want to try valhalla. I'm going to try to make the release, but can't get there til 4 and won't be surprised if all cans are gone by then.

Yeah I'd probably be in the same boat not able to get down there until later in the afternoon.

Wow I can't believe there's so little Waxing left. Last release hung around for awhile.

There were definitely some people just getting a 4 pack or two of stuff... but there were a lot of people picking up the full amounts. I'm really happy with both.

This waxing is really good, it should be gone.

How does Clever DDH clever girl compare to green dreams, RRR, Surprise valley or falcon smash (only TCB I have had)?

I've only had the regular Clever Girl, but I think its awesome. Its full-on NE style, and very citrusy. Its probably not quite as good as Green Dreams (within their respective categories), but I love it.

Well its an IPA and all of those you mentioned (except FS-I'm not a big fan) are DIPA's so tough to compare.
That being said I really like Clever Girl a lot, I had the DDH version at the Nectar & Knife release and I liked CG better, for whatever that's worth. Bummed I cant get up there tomorrow.

Watching these limits, I'm really hoping they go with at most 3pp on Battle Creek and Valhalla for release day. Even then, I'd be surprised if it makes it through to Saturday.

Counts for today's release at Fulton. I was expecting somewhere in the range of their normal 120 cases but figure they may have held back more than normal for kegs to support the high holiday traffic this weekend.

Double Dry Hopped Clever Girl IPA: We double down on the sharp counterpoint to the resin, dank citrus of Falcon Smash. It's an incredibly light bodied soft and dry American IPA with impressions of tropical citrus and dark berry floral aromas. Double Citra and double Mosaic for an even heavier hop punch!
    4x 4pack limit at $15.00 per 4pack (90 cases)

They also still have cans of Paranoid Aledroid. I'm assuming these are left from the 5/5 release

I felt going in those limits were too high. I work less than 10 minutes from Fulton and had planned on going when I got off at 4. After seeing the case count, I was happy that my wife was able to get over there since her work let her out at 2. Probably should have been 2x per person, but I think TCB is still figuring out the limits thing here. They still don't have the crazy lines like the Veil. At least for those who missed out, they are filling crowlers today.

Definitely agree. For the Battle Creek / Valhalla release they would be wise to set limits at 1-2pp. Going to be a big eye opener for them on that one. Maybe set 2pp Fri and if they make it the night then go 1pp Sat.

    This^

Even if they do 3pp, it's an improvement. Or if they did 2pp Friday but did no limit on Saturday. Whatever - just lower limit on release day to ensure it lasts. I bet if they went with "cans for sale at 4pm" they'd see a Veil line.

Still I have to think they know what that release will be like. They might be more concerned with saying "sold out in 3 hours!!" than getting it into as many hands as possible. Helps build hype (as does people sending cans in trades - I did that with BC last time and now have people asking for Triple Crossing without veil or answer in the box). Plus, if they still do crowlers for people who miss cans, clear conscience for them. So I'm being selfish but I can see both sides.

Estimates for Friday's release. A little more than doubling what I consider a normal release size (120 cases) for them. Even with that much more than they typically do I think a 1 case limit may still be high and cause a pretty quick sell through. (If I was a non-local who lived a couple hours away or more then these limits would have me salivating). I can safely assume a lot of people walking away with full allotments.

Yeah I think they'll have a "whoops, we were not anticipating such a big turnout!" situation, and I feel like they have to know it. 2 cases is a shitload of DIPA too, I would probably only buy 1-2 4 packs of each. I'll be in town Saturday morning, I'm not expecting any to be left but I'll grab some if there is. I'll definitely swing by for a draft that evening.

That is still high. You hit it on the head - people will drive for this. Plenty of "Battle Creek is the BEST RVA DIPA!!!!" hype to make people make the trip and a 2 case haul will do it. I wanna look over the numbers, like how quickly they sold out on RRR, but My money is on BC at least being gone that evening.
