I would imagine something similar to what the passionfruit tart IPA got which from what I have seen wasnt very big.

First time visiting Westbrook yesterday and first time trying most of their beer. I found Three Claw to be a very solid hazy IPA. Toss up for me between Two and Three Claw. Both are very good and I wouldn't say one was better than the other. Bottles of Mexican Cake were still available to go. I asked about Coffee Cake. They said it's coming "soon" but also said it wasn't bottled yet. Unfortunate since I'm leaving town today but

Had Three Claw from a can last night. Solid first NE IPA from westbrook, I hope they continue doing different releases in the 16oz can format. However its not on par with the 2nd tier (what I like to call them) breweries doing NE IPAs (Bearded Iris, Track 7, Moonraker). Seemed to be lacking a little in the body. Looking forward to further releases though.

Did they have any Mexican Cake glassware left?

What is this that they just posted at $30 per bottle?

"We aren't done for the week yet! New in the tasting room today, Maple Bourbon Mini Growler. Our Mini Growler stout aged for a year in maple bourbon barrels. $30 per bottle, limit 4 per person."

They had a pallet of glasses in the back when I was there yesterday. Don't think they'll be running out of those anytime soon..

IMO first tier is Treehouse, Other Half, Veil, Trillium. These are breweries I have had and also what people would consider the top ones.

3claw does not live up to the hype. It's like a pre-oxidizied ne style ipa. I'll stick to 2claw.

Worth 30 or will it sit on the shelves for months like the 25$ bomber.

Strong bourbon and maple nose. Drinks very sweet and smooth. Silky mouthfeel that doesn't cling to the glass at all.

It's not on maple cake levels, to me, but holds its own against a lot of other adjunct stouts I've had.

Comparatively though, $30 is more and more becoming the norm for these big adjunct heavy beers. Look at cycle, bottle logic, etc. Not saying it's a good thing, just saying the price has already been established by others.

Excellent pastry stout, would dome again.

More than likely it is. They had most of a pallet just inside the back area about an hour before closing. Most everyone had their bottles by then. I'm sure the crowd is quite large today, so no telling if it makes it through the day

Zach nailed the description. It holds up to any other maple bourbon stout. I'll French press bacon into it for good measure!!!

Pic? Is it a Teku with the normal MC art. Seems to me that it had two pistols on it in the past.

It's the same balloon wine glass as last years. But with gold print and gold around the rim.

Way to sweet IMO. Bourbon notes are weak to me. I could see it improving with time, but i think it needs that time to mellow out.
