What beer are you drinking now? #1682

Home from work and starting off with my final bottle of Odell's Nail Knot Lager. Man, I really really really wish Odell would throw this into their regular flagship line-up. This one is an almost perfect session beer for me. A nice rotation of this and Marble Pilsner could keep me very satisfied.

 

Happy Memorial Day BA. Very nice to see all the tribute to the vets on here. I'm gonna be downing a few of these before grilling up some tri-tip

Earlier, a Southern Tier Raspberry White & now an Odell IPA. The Mrs. Has 86'ed the ribs, we are wiennie roasting & making smores later. She is trying to get me to purge stuff, but now that I've had a few, the hoarder in me has surfaced Paying a bunch of my son's teen age friends to help us move next weekend, what could possibly go wrong???

There have been a bunch of posts that really bring out the true meaning of Memorial Day. Marklarker's today and Lordofthewiens yesterday in NBS were excellent examples of what these brave people did.
Cheers to them and everyone else that made the ultimate sacrifice

 

Just had a kick ass stout so throttling down a bit with this.

 

Happy Monday night all. Starting with a favorite--Southern Tier's Creme Brulee...Amazing dessert beer.

 

Now onto some Canteen's Exodus.

La Cumbre (deservedly) gets the national attention for their awesome hoppy beers. Bosque has stole some of the local limelight for their hoppy beers. This one gets a little lost amongst it all which is a shame, as it is a great West Coast IPA.

 

A busy weekend where we didn't really do anything; it was still tiring. Time to settle in, TailGate-ing before the Stanley Cup Finals with a beer from @Buck89. Rooting for his hometown team. This beer will be gone before game time, but here's hoping he can use the Fire Emoji when posting about the Preds

A pour of Half Acre Tuna and some porch time before the mosquitoes. It's been one hellava fun and busy weekend, but I'm glad it's over. This old dog is beat!

Heard this tune driving over the weekend and it's been stuck in my subliminal play list since. Time to release it......

 

Given it is Memorial Day I have to pay tribtue to my dad who served during WWII. He got this harmonica in Germany before the end of the war.

I also want to honor friends and other brave souls lost in wars since then. Some will say the song is boring and maybe silly but listen to the worlds.

 

Getting ready for the first game of the Stanley Cup. First time with this one, what a beautiful beer! Happy Memorial Day, the privileges and freedoms we have in this country are thanks in large part to the sacrifices made by the men and woman who wear a military uniform. It is truly humbling to think about how many men and woman have sacrificed their lives so that I can sit on my couch and watch hockey tonight in this great country. Cheers!

 

In honor of Memorial Day Legacy Lager from Dog Tag Brewing! Such a unique beer and story. Each can has the dob and date of the ultimate sacrifice of a brave, selfless service person. Kinda hard to see but this brave young man was only 21 years old...there are no words. a fantastic way to honor those far better than I ever will be. R. I. P. Heroes, can't thank u enough!!
