On one hand, I'd like to see people master the basics on the NEIPA before they start adding stuff like lacto and vanilla, but on the other...Get Lit was so good with all that stuff in it.

Finally made it to Old Nation over the holiday weekend. M43 is truly legit imo and worthy of the hype. Boss Tweed was also great. The rest of their stuff was mediocre. But I'll take M43 over most stuff I've had here.

Concluding my Corridor weekend, I had a Reign In Punch crowler tonight; filled 5/27. .

In the nose & up front on the tongue, this was tropical fruit bunch bliss...but the dry (bitter?) wheat & grapefruit bite (emphasis on "bite") notes weren't quite up my alley.

A misfire for me, but very close to a direct hit. I hope they take another pass at this one...

Or just differing palates...I prefer there be almost no bitterness in this style, while others like a little more.

also growler of snoochie boochie cost $21+tip so maybe that 18thst/transient collaboration is an alright price

See, my two cents on the "bite"in Reign was that it was supposed to be there to replicate the bite of pineapple in Hawaiian Punch. I would have preferred a beer without that bite as well, but thought it worked great and hit the nail on the head for what they were going for.

I think it is so munificent of 18th/Transient to sacrifice any profit on their beer by distroing that one. I mean, 1/3 goes to the retail shop, 1/3 goes to the distributor, they are practically going into debt to give this beer to us. How on earth can they maintain these loss margins?

I think Hailstorm has done a great job with their NE cloud series so far. And that beer has lactose in it, not lacto.

Radio Swan - Rye IPA 6.4% (Mosaic, El Dorado)

    Tasting notes -

    Aroma:
Dank AF with a touch of fruitiness.

    Flavor/Body:
Juicy, creamy, slightly sweet. Body is slick/syrupy and inviting. Not that different than the liquid in a juice cocktail cup. Due to the youngness at this stage, the "dank/green" is coming through a bit. I expect that to fade a bit into a complex fruity/rye cocktail.

    Balance:
The light bitterness is lockstep with the sweetness. Wouldn't really change anything here.

    Overall:
Really loving where it's at/going. Tastes like the stoner cousin of Stay Lit. For those that thought Stay Lit was too sweet will be v happy with Radio Swan.

Tapping Wednesday (should be on by the time we open at 11am)

Todd, in all seriousness do you have a suggestion for making it more broadly useful? We can't update the original post, so the only other option would be starting a new thread, but even then, the beers that are released any given month are constantly changing so its hard to keep track of whats going to be released in a month.

Could do it like some of the other popular brewery release threads (e.g., Tree House) and make a monthly thread. Would make it a bit more manageable anyway. Can even start one on Thursday.
