Schlitz. It's what made Milwaukee famous. Seriously tho. Either hit up New Glarus or go across the border and get yourself some Surly. Next question...

    Redundancy is my specialty,

Meant: "...fit Great Dane brewpub in there as well, even Gray's." (too many Gr consonant combos there)

It's probably not on the list because we were pointing out spots that were close in proximity (for the most part). I suppose you could visit Point and Central Waters, though I've never been to either.

O'so and Tyranena are also great additions to the list of Lakefront and Capitol. New Glarus how ever takes the cake.

If ya want a good Wisconsin Get-A-Way & Good Beer, try North Central Wisconsin.
    1) Central Waters is in Amherst near Waupaca; Good Beer, although the taproom seem a bit messy to us.
    2) O’So is down the road in Plover; really good beer of their own & you can try lots of other WI Brews
    3) Point Brewery is just up the road in Stevens Point; been around for eons, but their craft brews are good.
    4) Bull Falls in Wausau can end the tour; four excellent brews fairly close to each other. Make it last a few days and enjoy.

New Glarus in New Glarus is really fun.

Spy Bar is also hella cool. It's not a brewpub, and they have shitty beer and food, but I think the joint is really cool if you have never been before. If you go on an off-night too, the staff is willing to show you some of the place's hidden treasures. Plus if you ever stumble across the secret bar...

Yeah safe house. I just call it the spy bar but yeah it's actually called the safe house. Really neat place. If they got good beer there, Oh well.

Don't know what you're talking about.

But if I remember, if I'd ever been there before -- which I can't say, they had Sprecher and Lake Front beers.

Safe house is alright, Tad pricey and really only worth 1 visit in my opinion

came in to post this, and add red eye and great dane to number 4 in wausau. And I love going to central waters, the bar is like in the brewery and theyre my favorite brewery in the area, plus they usually have some good specialties on tap along with their normal lineup which includes nitro mudpuppy

I'm glad you had good experiences there, because I've never actually really enjoyed it there. They make a few good beers (their seasonal imperial stout, black IPA, etc.) and have some pretty good food, but they're up there for worst brewpubs in my opinion. That munich lager is disgusting...

Sometimes it can be a toss-up between Water Street Brewery, Rock Bottom, and Ale House for Miilwaukee brewpub beer quality, but I'd probably stick with Ale House over the other two on most days.

Port Huron in Wis Dells. The owner/brewmaster will probably be there and might give you a personal tour.

My wife and I did the O'So-Central Waters-Point trip back in February. Great trip, highly recommended (and there's a hotel staggering distance from the O'So "Forty" tap room.

New Glarus, O'So, and Central Waters. In that order, I'd skip Lakefront and Capital, their brews never did anything for me.
