Quick question that I'm sure someone in here can answer for me - Do ohio Sam's Clubs sell beer? And if so anything decent/not BMC?

 

Cincinnati has a different distributor IIRC. It should start hitting via Superior in NE OH today and should be all delivered by EOW.

 

Yes they do. In Columbus they sell Columbus Brewing Co., Rhinegeist, and other craft offerings. The sad part is that there really isn't a discount and a lot of it is old. Costco isn't any better in my parts, they had a Stone mixed pack but other than that, not much.

They sell bombers and sixers of certain stuff. But like I mentioned, you'd better off going to a bottle shop/some grocery stores and paying the same price and getting fresher product. For example, I am referencing the Sam's on Sawmill Rd., there are places around there with superior choices.

 

Very interesting to hear that the sams in other states do not offer much savings. I have seen Taxman in Indiana for 2-3 dollars cheaper per 4 pack than many bottle shops. That's not a lot, but when it's 7-10 dollars a 4 pack, that's actually a huge discount percentage wise.

 

Anyone see any almanac around yet?

So am I to just assume Born Again 3 Months Ago isn't hitting the Cleveland area anytime soon? I feel like for the last month+, it was always coming out "next week".

 

Picked one up in Michigan last week. It's a weird beer. Surprised how bitter it still is despite the fact it was in a barrel.

 

Can't speak for Cleveland, but Born Again Yesterday landed in Cincinnati yesterday.
Bottled May 24th and tasting great.

 

Looks like those same bottles hit Cleveland yesterday as well. I'm surprised and bummed because I am pretty well stocked with IPAs at the moment so looks like I'll be missing this one.

 

Sorry to hi-jack this thread for a minute, but can someone please recommend a good bottle shop on the west side burbs of Cleveland? Will be hitting BottleHouse based on what I've been reading in here but looking for a place to pick up Jackie O's or any other Ohio BA stouts and goodies. Appreciate the help.
