Looks like the second release of the Cooper Project is going to be a BA Blonde Doppelbock. I know there were mixed reviews for the first release of the series, but I expect I'll try to get a few bottles of this release if I can. Wasn't so lucky for the first release - very very limited in Indiana.

Bottles of #1 are still sitting all over the city...

Interesting. I didn't see a single bottle of it in KC, although I have slowed down on shopping.

Yeah... I think the initial reviews were poor which kept the neckbeards away and the price I've seen is like $15 / 4 pack which keeps the casual craft beer people away.

I just picked some up in St. Louis over the weekend. Drank one....didn't do much for me.

Are they keeping the price at $15 a 4-pack? :grimacing:

Just saw No. 1 locally for the first time and they didn't have the price marked. When I asked the cashier I understood why. Too bad, too -- I like Doppelbock and Goose's Fassinator was damn good. But not $15 a 4-pack.

The first one was a fine beer - a good scotch ale with faint barrel presence. But I'm not paying a BA premium for something aged 3-4 months again. Just too many superior options at that price.

We didn't get any in Rochester, MN...well 1 bottle that was given from the distributor to a store to sample to employees. I'm sure the was probably a single 4 pack where those bottles were disbursed.

Hopefully we will see this one in town. I'm always game for a BA beer.

Was the last one only aged 3 months? It just seems a little short for a $15 4 pack.

Goose released this in the taproom yesterday. Hopefully it will hit stores in the next week or two.

Bought it last week in Michigan, and must say was pretty underwhelmed.

Picked up two at $4.50 each. Barrel and bourbon character develops as it warms. More barrel and bourbon character then you'd think with only 3 months in the barrel. Not sure it's $18/4 pack good though. If $15/4 pack doesn't give you sticker shock I'd recommend it.
