Drinking a brand new pilsner from Carlsberg Sweden, Eriksberg Juvel. As per the can they've used "German noble hops" along with Saphir hops and the emphasis on the hops shows in the beer, it's quite hop aromatic with a good hop flavor which reminds me a great deal of Riegele Herrenpils (one of my all time favorite pilsners, now sadly gone from the monopoly), despite the use of Saphir in this one. Aside from the hops the beer is really dry and the body is light, even for a 4.5% abv beer (at 122 calories for a 11.2oz beer I'm guessing the OG is around 10.5%). It's also very clean. One thing I thought was interesting was that they list "humleolja", or "hop oil" in the ingredients list. I assume that they were inspired by Sierra Nevada's Hop Hunter to use the hop oil. I really like this beer, it's a tasty pilsner style beer, but I could see how others would find it too thin bodied. Since I drink plenty of Export style lager beers which are generally sweeter and fuller bodied I really enjoy a dry pilsner as a change of pace.

Beach got a little hot after 4 hours and 2 iced coffee I needed to take a walk and find some other type of refreshment . Found this little hole in the wall brewery on the boardwalk here in ocean City Maryland , and after all the negative reviews tried the dipa anyways LOVE SAP and it's pretty delicious big pine hops goes down real easy for 9%. Cheers!

That is homemade whole wheat with home made ricotta , apples, peanuts, honey and spinach. =) I made the ricotta with balsamic to see if I like it and it's ok but the regular kind is better imo.

Sharing Weihenstephaner with my wife while having a try at making paella.

Have only the most important ingredients I think, plus some leftovers. Won't be a problem. Although this dish is a bit hyped in Spain, it originally was simple food made in a single pan in the field by laborers who used what they could find. That was scarce most of the time.
    Cheers all!

Too bad! No Spanish or Portuguese (also works good) newspaper at hand to wrap it and give it a rest after cooking.

Back on land and seeking shade after paddling 7 miles in the sun. All the Michigan hops had me forgetting about this old favorite from Three Floyd's. I'd love to see it in a twelve ounce format. Can I wish for cans too? The last burger and some kidney bean salad on the porch again. I sense a nap coming after this!

I certainly identify as a central Virginia person, and have been to Stone - place is IMO the architectural interpretation of arrogance, so in short, it's pretty awesome. Big and the parking lots force you to approach it like some sort of new age Gothic Castle. Ok, that may be a touch dramatic, but you get the idea. Next time you make it back put Triple Crossing, Original Gravity (the homebrew place in Lakeside brews now), The Answer and of course The Veil on your tour list. You can hit Triple Crossing (new location in Fulton) and Stone in the same sweep.

Had one of their IPA's from a bottle no too long ago. Interesting indeed. When I see some from The Kernel I'll buy (almost) any style just to try it.
    Cheers!
