Chicagoland NE IPAs (2018)

Agreed, on the initial pour, I thought it seemed heavily carbed. But it really receded in a hurry. I did give it a slight roll, as I've started doing with all the NE IPAs, before pouring, so maybe that played a role.

 

Sweet. Looks like I'll be hitting up Corridor for dinner on Sunday evening around 530-6. Anyone know if it's usually crowded at that time? I have a concert at 8 at The Vic. Hoping to try Hazen and Regin while there.

 

I think Reign is out- VH might kick as well too...

 

Reign In Punch kicked last Sunday. Looks like Van Hazen will not make it through this evening, 6/2 ((1) 1/2bbl currently being pulled).

 

Just an update on Corridor, we are scheduled to tap our second version of Squeezit on Friday, 6/9 on or around 5pm. This is the same malt bill as OG Squeezit with a different hop bill. Our DDH Doubles will all be called Squeezit from this point on with different hop varieties. OG Squeezit (Mosaic & Citra) will return at some point this Summer. We have also brewed another 5.5% ABV DDH Pale this week for release the week after Squeezit, and are scheduled for Van Hazen II brew this Tuesday, 6/6 for release in two weeks. Those bubbles also look very big, almost like soap bubbles...

 

Just an FYI- the Corridor website shows Reign as available so people might be planning their visit around the current menu to try it...

 

Thanks guys. Was going off the menu I looked at on their website last night...silly me. The real shocking part, I will still go there and enjoy myself despite what appears to be nothing hazy on tap.

I'll be near Noon Whistle this afternoon and planning on stopping in. Never been there before. Do they do crowler/growler fills of any of their beers that are on tap?

 

Yes. Not sure what they have on tap, but they do crowler/growlers. They may even have some canned or bottles to go as well.

No guys, just to be clear...they do not do growlers/crowlers of all their beers on draft. At any given time in there, you will notice that certain beers are draft only. For instance, I stopped by yesterday for the $7 growler special which was Da Percolator. At that time, there were three beers that were draft ONLY: (Gummypocalypse, Hop Prism IPA and one other). If you are truly only going to pick up a certain beer in a growler or crowler, you would be best served to call ahead.
