Civil Society - Spring - 2017

I'll be back in FL 6/14-6/17. Hoping there's some nice drops that week/weekend. Hoof has a double can release the 11th, so I'll likely bring some down with me.

 

Im rarely in the area so I was really hoping they would drop some cans.

I had Emerald Showers last night and was not that impressed. Aroma wasnt great, taste was better and interestingly really bitter. Though I had just had a Veil Dirt Nap so it was a hard act to follow. Really liked Fresh and Pulp was good too.

 

Dirt Nap is hands down the best IPA I've had from Veil. I would put the most resent batch up against most NE style IPAs. Nice to see it getting some love.

On another note, I've never had a drop of Civil Society beer. What would you guys recommend for crowlers tomorrow?

 

Civil offers 4oz pours so I would try all the hops and see what you want to take home. Stinks they don't have Pulp or Space ponies but Fresh, DDH Fresh, Juice and Emerald showers are the standouts from the current board. All available for crowler. If you like saisons, mist is nice. Also don't sleep on blonde with mosaic

Yeah I had the anniversary batch. I think I have had 3 different batches, all were great.

 

FML.... Juice kicked last night. Got a couple DDH fresh and an Emerald Showers.

Per FB:

Two cans dropping this Saturday. First, we'll have Lil' Juice (6.6%) an IPA with Columbus, Mosaic, Ekuanot, Galaxy, Amarillo and Mosaic Lupulin Powder. Second is Emerald Showers (5.5%) IPA with Vic Secret, Topaz and Ella. Pricing per 4pk will be $17 per for Lil' Juice and $16 per for Emerald Showers. Limits with be posted later this week based on yield.

 

Seems like a whole lot of hops in lil juice lol

 

Sorry for double post, but I wonder if Lil Juice will be much hazier this time, just like juice took a long hiatus and came back a different beer

 

FYI King Gary crowlers sold out last night in case anyone was gonna try for one today.
