2017 Westbrook Releases

Any chance of bottles of cake or cake variants hanging around by the end of the month? I'll be on vacation at Folly last week of June. I know a few years back they had done a second run of mexican cake around the same time and had ample bottles to buy. Just looking to grab a few for a friend who really likes it.

 

You could get lucky, but I'd guess they'll be gone by then. You may be able to grab a couple at Berts or Jack of Cups out on Folly...hit this thread up around then and ask again.

Heading to Charleston tonight for a bachelor party, and planning to hit Westbrook tomorrow. Do they pretty routinely have bottles for sale in the tasting room/retail store? What should I expect?

 

I made a run to Westbrook on Tuesday and they had mini growler and tons of 3 claw.

The mini growler was up on the shelf and it looked like there were a few cases stacked up behind the bar. That was all I saw.

 

They should still have Mexican Cake, but not positive, was there Saturday. They still have Mr Chipper and MB Mini Growler and all the claws in can...they normally have some bottles to go, no telling how many at any given time. They keep their list fairly up to date online...

 

They don't post MC, or Mini Growlers online though, do they? Nothing of that 'caliber'?

 

They used to, but guess they haven't with this last run...

Liquor store near me has about 10-15 Mexican cakes left for $14.99. I bought three but should I get more? Would that be some good trade ammo? I'm new to all this haha

 

Up to you but I'd say grab some while they are around.

 

Pretty decent trading for areas where its not distributed. Also will be good in a couple of months when its not around. I might save a couple for then.

 

For the taste on this years, I would honestly pass. It'll trade 1:1 for the same price:distro, but please done buy beer based on its trade-ability only.

 

Dont really see the problem with that. Only problem I have is trading above $4$ unless it was super hard to get/took a lot of effort.

Goin' to a local bottle shop to hopefully win one of the Mexican Cakes bein' raffled off tomorrow. Raleigh must not have gotten much this year. Fingers crossed I win!

 

A bunch of places in Raleigh got about a case or so, it just went the day it came in, and a lot of places with taps decided to go the keg route as there is more profit in kegs than bottles.
