Suggestion on license plate?

Not if you aren't intoxicated or breaking the law in any way. I'm pretty sure the police understand that people enjoy beer without driving under the influence.

Do they also harass people with gun paraphernalia on their car because they might have a gun when they aren't supposed to?

 

I suppose yours is in no way as blatant as the SNORT 1 plate I saw in Illinois many years ago. But. I'm not inclined to advertise my vices where my automotive needs are concerned.

 

I bet the license plates DRUNK NOW or SWERVN are still available.

 

I read somewhere that officers pull over "420" license plates more frequently. It was anecdotal, but there have been instances of officers profiling based on license plates. Can't really blame them though if you're flashing your drug use (alcohol, or otherwise) with your plate.

If you want to show your love for beer, stick a BA, brewery, or other sticker on there. More discrete, and not lit up for officers when you're driving.

As far as novelty plates go, don't see that being a problem. I just wouldn't get an official custom plate that says "beer luvr" or something.

I have a custom "HOPS" license plate and a Russian River sticker on my car. Yet to be pulled over with those.
