Hey everyone! I'm headed to Colorado for the first time and will be there for work for most of the month of July. I'm going to be in the Beaver Creek area but will have a car and I'm willing to drive on the weekends. Looking for recommendations of where I should go or a few different shops I should hit up for beer I can't get in southern California. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Again!
There are a few threads on here that you should read for suggestions and use the places feature on BA, but for the Beaver Creek/Vail Valley area, you have a few options: Vail Brewing in Eagle Vail -- Decent stuff, nice vibe. Crazy Mountain in Edwards -- Often full of tourists...I'm not wild about their beers, but they have some OK stuff. Bonfire in Eagle -- I like the vibe here (laid back...fewer tourists) but the beers are subpar, IMHO. 7 Hermits in Eagle -- Never been here, so I can't comment. If you're looking for hype and good beers, head west to Casey in Glenwood Springs. If you're a hazy IPA, head east 40 minutes to Outer Range Brewing in Frisco. You're also about 2 hours away (depending on traffic) from Denver, so a trip to the big city is pretty easy. There are a few good bottle shops in the Vail Valley, but expect to pay a little bit of a premium.
Great, thanks Spoony! I'll definitely check out the other threads as well as the places you listed. I really appreciate the list!
I see it pop up every now and then around the south metro. Old cans? New stock? Hell if I know, but it's always good.
What bottle shops should I stop by? I won't be able to make it back to Denver to avoid the up charge but would still like to pick up some solid bottles. Thanks
