PLEASE READ - donations for the raffle will run from April 7th until June 3rd. After i get my butt handed to me from a 100 mile bike ride, i will post a post ride pic and use a number generator to randomly draw a winner. your number will be chosen chronologically from when you donated.

Up for auction here is 1 Bottle of Side Project Anabasis 2. Please pledge in increments of $10 and EACH $10 allows you a chance to win this bottle. I would also like to thank Cory / Side Project for graciously donating this bottle to such a wonderful cause.

It started with just one decision and one intention. I decided to make a difference in my life and the lives of others. I registered to participate in the Tour de Cure and I am now raising money to prevent diabetes, to fight the consequences and to improve the lives of all of those affected. I want to find a cure.

So many people are affected by diabetes and I want to do something about this disease. You can too, just by donating to the American Diabetes Association on my behalf. It would mean so much to me.

Every donation makes such a big difference. The money we raise for the Association funds critical diabetes research, information programs, and advocacy efforts that support the nearly 30 million children and adults in the U.S. with diabetes, and the 86 million with pre-diabetes.

I have pledged to raise at least $200 and ride 100 miles.

I am forever grateful for all of those willing to help and thank you for supporting me!

THANKS to everyone that donated. this is CLOSED DOWN. i do not know the exact amount raised but i know it is between $850-$900 i will go through the list tomorrow and assign a number next to everyone's donation. i will then use a random number generator to choose a winner. multiple donations will be assigned multiple numbers.

the ride was very hot, humid, full sun, country back roads, 5.5 hours of pain cave. it was 91 degrees when i finished. we crossed the mississippi on a ferry and then crossed a drawbridge (which was way less cooler than it sounds). rode with numerous other cyclists, so we worked together. if you ever see groups of cyclists riding, remember, they could be doing it for charity or training to be able to ride these distances for charity. we raise a LOT of money riding rides we could easily do for free. you would be amazed at how many simply pay the fundraising minimums from their own pockets.

    again, thank you to everyone!

The winner is Dave Meyer from BA. The winning number was 10.

there was 68 possible entries. if you entered 2+ times you were given a number at both ends such as 2 & 67. if there was an odd number like 3 or 5 you were assigned 2,3,4 & 63,62. i split them up to give everyone with multiple chances more of a spread.

thanks again to everyone that donated. sadly there was a lower participation this year so i feel good knowing we helped.

stay tuned for another similar auction starting early July. This will be for Pedal The Cause, raising money to cure cancer. course is twice as hard! Up for grabs will be Side Project Tete and Double Barrel Derivation

Cheers, Scott! Glad I could help out even a little bit - and can't wait to donate to the next one you run! Let's make sure the mods stick it at the top of the BIF page, that'll definitely help drive traffic!

Box arrived safe and sound on Friday! Thanks so much to @hooliganlife for putting together this fundraiser, and thanks to Cory for donating such an amazing bottle! Glad we could all help raise some money for a good cause, and I look forward to cracking this one open with some friends in a couple weeks!
