Any bottle shop on Detroit in Lakewood will be just fine for what you're looking for. Rozi's and Simone's would be your best bet but there's also Caps n Corks and Ross Beverage. They're all within a 10-minute drive of each other and a block away from BottleHouse.

Anyone have the new Sierra Nevada Beer Camp brews? Worth buying the 12-pack?

Just picked up mine today. Will crack into some this weekend. Seems like its a bit more limited than in years past. I went to Mack's and they got like 20 cases last year, only two I believe he said this year.

I don't think it was limited, the problem was last years price was out of control and if you are gonna buy 20 cases at that price they probably say for awhile. Which in turn made retailers a little skeptical of "buying in" on so many cases. Either way, this years is cheaper and has a much better selection of beers. Cheers!

Weird. Didn't think it was that limited. My store got 8 cases and only 2 sold today. Excited to try these beers!!

Not sure about other parts of Ohio, but around here, SN is distributed by the InBev distributor and it seems they are sending most of it to Kroger in lieu of the craft shops. Picked one up yesterday and will be getting in to it tonight.

What about in Columbus? I don't think I've seen anywhere post that they have gotten them in yet.

Have any of you BottleHouse fans tried Spring Gruit? I stopped by there today because it was kind of warm and I knew I'd be mowing the grass before sunset and a farmhouse ale seemed perfect for the situation, so I grabbed a bottle after trying a sample there. It's funny that when I started drinking it I found the spices annoying in that I thought they detracted from the traditional saison taste which I associate with my faves of that style; but like almost every other Bottlehouse offering it got better and more balanced as it warmed up. Which left me wondering if I'd have ever reached that level of appreciation by drinking it in the AC there.

Crafted drafts had it last week I believe.

"Hit" is a relative term. Visited my typical shops and found that each received only a few cases, therefore limiting customers to four bottles or less. Plus side was that the date is fresh, which I wasn't expecting. Also splitting 12-packs into singles resulted in a much higher 12-pack price when extended, from $24.00 per 12 pack and above.

Hopefully there will be another release with more quantity before it goes away for a while, but I'm not too optimistic.

Had it last week. I actually really enjoyed it, grabbed some bottles, and enjoyed those at home as well. To me, it was a "what the? what am I tasting?" right off the bat, then as I kept drinking it just turned into "wow this is really good, just never thought I'd taste thiese flavors in a beer".

finally made it there yesterday for the first time, I thought the gruit was pretty good. The gf didn't care for it. The Erie IPA was good, but the La Tendora was fantastic. The nitro stout was tasty as well. Of course spent too much on take home bottles. Was surprised we walked in and there was only 2 people in the whole place.

edit: the BBA cherry mead was awesome too.

Was that the Cleveland Heights location? Not sure what Sundays are like but Saturday evenings are usually nicely filled. Maybe people were home watching the Cavs?

Decent selection of craft, a lot of it is old though. I've lucked out and caught week old Bodhi on a few occasions.

I picked some up on Sat at Hilliard Rome Kroger, and there were a bunch on Friday at Grandview Market District. I would call it a baker's dozen because there are 3x 16 oz cans. Also, many beers are above 7and 8%. I had 3 of the beers last night and thoroughly enjoyed each one.

Random question - any of you folks ever attend a Small a city Taphouse anniversary party in Sandusky? It's coming up in a few weeks and was wondering what to expect? Big crowds? Family friendly?
