Someone from Total Wine - Roseville posted it in a Facebook group. He acknowledged he didn't proofread it. They are going to hang signs in the store. VR will be $50, which is what I heard it was selling for in the other states that recently got it.

The first 250 people starting at 6am get entered into the bourbon raffle. Burnsville has a similar bourbon raffle, but will not be doing a beer sale.

Lowes is 1 block from light rail, you could take it to Minneapolis Town Hall brewery & The Republic, two very nice Beer and food bars, a short walk from station.

1 case. You'll have to defeat my army of mules to get one.

I already had 12 mules lined up this morning, so you all lose...

To add to what @gatornation said about taking the light rail down to Town Hall Brewery and Republic, you could also stop at Day Block Brewing along the way. Their beer is solid, and their food is arguably the best of the Twin Cities brewbups. I'd recommend stopping their to eat, and have a beer or two then walking to Town Hall, which is only a quarter mile away, for more beer.

I agreed completely with your take that Surly's Anniversary beers all sound "kinda-sorta-maybe interesting," but those kind of beers can sell really well at the right price. Where Surly fails here is that these beers are all way overpriced. Five years ago they could get away with that price, but not anymore. Today's Twin Cities beer scene is much more competitive with many more options, and full of beer drinkers that are better educated about what they're purchasing.

Surly needs to learn from what happened when they priced Unbridled at $7-8, and it was gone within a couple weeks. If the anniversary beers were in the $12 range I think a lot more people would buy them, and feel they got their money's worth out of the experience.

Yep me as well but if it had been the normal $20 bottle from them I would have passed

Darkness is around $20. Aren't the anniversary beers normally around $13 or $14 when they come out?

I believe 9-11 have been priced as you mention, but I believe the years before them were roughly the same as Darkness. Oddly enough, 9-10 have been the years that I haven't wanted to purchase a bottle and 11 might be added to that list as well.

I clearly spoke before seeing the price. Good move on Surly's part.

I had it outside on a hot day and really wasn't feeling it. We actually dumped the last few ounces, but that could just be me. Not my cup of tea.

I agree - good pricing move by Surly. It seems like Surly has been making strides to lower prices like Furious now at $7.99 or so at many places, lower pricing on new releases like Xtra Citra & #merica, 12 pack 12 oz can packaging etc.

Am I crazy for hoping that Axeman and Abrasive prices come down?
