Hmmm, I thought it was dangerously young tasting...kinda like CC'16 and DDG'16 on initial bottle release.

I agree, it was one of the highlights of the event for me.

Really? When they poured it in 2015, it tasted super young but I didn't get that at all this year. Then again, you thought Blend 6 was watery so we're not agreeing on much!

Hopefully some of you made it over to Omnipollo. Their "Noa Pecan Mud Cake - Bourbon" was quite good.

The blueberry cheesecake beer with soft serve was crazy.

Hmmm, I wasn't the only one in the little group of friends that thought it tasted really young....ah well. Different palates...

    We ended up cracking a b5 375ml, b6 3L, and b7 375ml at the Adelaide saturday night.

No doubt. When did you have it? I had it pretty early on.

    And damn. That's what's up!

Maybe about an hour in or so. Hung around that section for a bit pretty much tag-teaming lines so that the group I was with could tick everything they wanted. It also helped that Bob from HpB kept running up and down lines pouring his beers.

It was weird, the line for RR was super long and then I guess ppl got hungry or saw the ice cream truck and wanted to cool down, then it dropped to maybe a dozen or so ppl. So I jumped in right then.

It was my buddy's 3L so not mine, but a member of the small group that took over that table.

Edit: Also did we meet? The evening is a bit of a blur.... =P I had on the black "Beer - A - Mesa" shirt.

Side Project knocked it out with an ample supply of brews... Derivation 6 was solid dessert choco cinnamon syrup tho a bit still imo. 3 Candles which is an acknowledged still beer was incredible - crazy flavor profile. The line pour of DB Derivation was a nice bonus as well. And cheers to an actual beer advocate that offered a pour of AB Derivation to a couple of us that were a few peeps back when the keg kicked.

Omnipollo BA Mud Cake was another tasty pastry stout as y'all have mentioned.

My personal fav was Garage Project Mutiny on the Bounty which I waited for twice - amazing flavor profile. Garage Project line was incredibly slow, but offset some by their line pours of their Fuzz Box IPA.

Other highlights were the zero line Allagash Windfall which was a nice surprise, and Fonta Flora's paw paw sour Carolina Custard.

Thought the food was solid - good tacos, nachos, ice cream.

Lowlight was Trollium really not having a hoppy offering, though the coffee stout was quite nice.

We probably did. I was there both Friday and Saturday sharing TG hops, New Glarus R/D's and whatever the hell else I brought.

I just remembered that I poured out the session from Other Half. Really didn't like that beer and there was too much other good stuff to waste that space.

You and I are definitely on opposite sides of the palate spectrum, hehehe. I quite enjoyed that one. =P
