Cycle/ccb bottle releases

DCB DOS is in my top 5 favorite Cycle beers, though I realize DOS has changed some since its release.

 

Assuming the barleywine will be English, right?

 

I heard doug mention yesterday he didn't really distinguish between American and English bW....said it would be similar to buddy shots (Im guessing darker BW).

 

Basically just wanna know if it's gonna be hoppy or sweet/caramel etc

 

Buddy Shots drank more like a stout than a BW (although I guess it was categorized as an ale). Doug said the TG guys loved Buddy Shots and wanted to do something similar. It will be a sweet heavy bodied BW.

 

Thinking about driving down from Tallahassee Friday and getting there around 1830. Dumb idea? Chances of bottles being available? Tap?

 

Best bet is to check back on Friday around 10am and you should get a good sense of what is left after the wave of people there Friday morning. If bottles remain for multiple days you should see something. As for draft I'd say probably something as well, but depends on the weather. With all the rain this week if it's nice out, I could see a lot of people heading over to get outside and drink Friday and also the people that missed out on tues.

Obviously this is all speculation

 

Any idea if Friday's release has a lower bottle count than the rest of the days? Or is it likely to be around the same bottle count/limits as Tuesday?

 

Heard similar from some guy in line, not sure how good that source is though

 

Anyone any idea when double barrel rare dos is dropping? Assuming it's the surprise next week cycle mentioned? Just not sure on day

Sorry I could have worded that better. I heard it was similar counts to the rest of the weeks, if not slightly lower than some of the other days but still over a 1000 bottles.

 

Are they still tapping all 5 beers on Friday evening like they normally do? Plan on getting there around 6:30.

 

Yes. Tapping them all at 5pm.. I'm sure they'll have variants of some days on as well.

 

Are any of the bottles sold out yet?

They usually put what is sold out on instagram, but nothing other than the coffee beans has been posted.

Not that I trust Facebook, but someone said some grandmule died in line at Cycle?

 

The is legit, an ambulance was needed for an older woman waiting in line. She was taken away in the ambulance before getting bottles.

 

LOL omg. An older lady fainted as she was diabetic and hadn't had breakfast. She was totally fine and smiling as she was put on the stretcher.

 

She even called here Son whome she was there for and told him they were holding 3 bottles for him.
